Since Draftexpress signed with ESPN they no longer make scouting videos so I went on the lookout for a replacement and found this guy.

He has some great videos on this years top prospects.

Here's some on Trae Young.

Picking between guys like MPJ, Bamba, Young, JJJ is a good problem to have but at the same time it seems like it would be so stressful for front office execs picking in that range

How can you say hes NBA ready when hes barely played any competitve ball? ( Looked pretty bad when he did) in the last year?

Because he was clearly one of the best high school players in this generation. Let's not forget that there was a time where he was considered the consensus #1 overall pick for 2018 before his injury.

I'm not going to let a 2 game college sample size change my opinion that I've had on him since he was like 16 years old. His offensive game is absolutely NBA ready. The fact that you can still argue he's worth picking over guys like Bamba or Trae Young despite the fact he basically didn't play all year shows you how much scouts understand his skill-set.

I guess but I dont put too much stock in the best high school players. Never gonna see how he looks like in workouts. But based on what ive seen and read I dont think hes gonna be all that great a player.

The downside might be Jared Sullinger, though.

Oh god man. Sully had weight problems his whole life and Wendell is much more skilled imo. Dude has a 7’4 wingspan at 6’10-6’11. That’s great for 4/5 in today’s NBa

I have. Very intelligent and well-spoken. Dallas should be the landing spot man

Wendell got alot leaner between March and now too. I dont think hes gonna follow that same path. But i share your precious concerns about him being able to defend in space. Its the difference between Starter and situational guy for him.

Feel free to have that opinion, I definitely disagree though. We really haven't seen a prospect with his size and offensive polish at such a young age since Durant.

As a DAllas fan I really wanted top 3 or 4 to get MPJ. Really had no interest in Bamba until we dropped to 5th and I had to do research on him because he’s most likely the BPA at 5. After watching some game film, I’m more than happy with pairing Bamba with DSJ. I didn’t know Bamba was as fluid as he is or had that outside jumper. Gorbert with a jumpshot is a problem in the NBA.

I really want MPJ or Bagley, but Bamba has a high ceiling as well

I'd love MPJ on Dallas, and that's where I expect him to go tbh. They really need someone to help Barnes offensively. Though at the same time they have a desperate need for a good big too so Bamba could also be a good choice, should be interesting

That jumper is key but he is working with Drew Hanlen and it already looks much improved so I’m confident. That jumper comes along and all bets are off. Especially if he goes in to a situation where Carlisle can groom him. No more bigs that are head cases. He is also the perfect cover up for DSJ’s defensive mistakes

After workouts I don’t expect MPJ to be there at 5. Who do you take if your atl n Memphis if Ayton n Luka are gone ? Bagley goes to one of them, who’s the next player to jump up? JJJr Bamba??

Like modern centers or back to basket centers? I don’t really understand how any front office can watch these playoffs and think traditional centers are valuable in today’s league. It’s become more apparent to me than ever

I'm honestly astonished to see so many bigs projected in the top 8. There's no way even half of those guys become difference makers in this league.

Is this crop of guard talent really that bad, or is the NBA just garbage at evaluating and taking risks on perimeter players? Donovan Mitchell was picked 13th last year. 13th!!! That's a pretty bad look for the NBA's collective scouting.

Mike Schmitz and a few other guys were really high on Mitchell. I was too from the view Louisville games I saw but I did extensive research on him as a player and interviews from his coaches. I was so sold on him I said we should've traded up in the draft to grab him. The crop of guard talent this year is weak but there are quite a few good PGs in the late first and early second.

As for the bigs, all of them except for maybe Wendell at this point (but I think he will surprise a lot of people in workouts) are incredibly mobile and versatile. So much fluidity in all of these big guys. They are not traditional dudes at all. If Ayton by some stroke of luck can get it together defensively, he has the size, fluidity and athleticism to give Embiid fits for years to come.

Carter isn't some mobile savant but I can assure you he is better than these guys were at the same age. He is still young and has yet to show off his agility with the weight he is lost. Plus, he is a smarter and a much better shooter than his peers in this graphic.

I don't think wingspan to height ratio is worth comparing skillsets. Those guys were all above the rim players. It doesn't mean that Carter is ahead of the curve, it just means he's a different kind of player with long arms.

I'd say favors is a little more versatile offensively than his above the wing peers. For what it's worth, I don't think Favors is a bad comparison in terms of playing style for him.

To me it sounds more like, "I want to play with the Phoenix Suns and Kokosov"

Could we trade for him knowing he won't comeover, save salary commitments and have him come in a year before our big contracts come off the books.
See him play with the vets for a year and decide which of the three vets to keep. If its the right decision.
Luka would be approaching readiness in time for the new core.

Could Shai be compared to Will Barton? Is he a quicker version? He seems like he might be a microwave type player with some playmaking chops.
