You can't flush a wipe though, so if you like keeping that around the house until garbage day then I'd agree.

Some brands are flushable.

For anyone buying inordinate amounts of hand sanitizer/wipes, remember that soap and water are much more effective at dislodging viruses than hand sanitizer (the latter is only useful when you're out and about without soap + water nearby). All you are doing is drying out your skin when you keep lathering alcohol-based sanitizer on it every 15 minutes.

I went at 8 PM and it was nearly empty. I have no clue why anyone would fight the crowds. They will re-stock and the people holding 8 years of food, toilet paper, purrell, pasta and tampons won't come back. It won't take long.

And yeah, hoarding this stuff is pure **** stupid.

If you see someone with a cart full of toilet paper just make a loud observation about how gigantic their turds must be or how bad a case of diarrhea they must have.

There's a couple in Vancouver that's made thousands of dollars in profit just by reselling Lysol wipes for 2.5x or 3x the sale price

I'm not sure who I'm more disappointed in, the opportunists or the idiots paying them when there's alternatives available in stores lol

My faith in humanity is definitely lower today than it was a couple of months ago.

The easy solution to hit them is wait until they don;t claim it on their taxes. Then hit them where it hurts, the wallet. Because I'm damn sure they aren't paying and submitting the HST.

Oh damn I didn’t realize they weren’t flushable. I know other people have been doing it for years though no problems.

The couple they featured on the news is a piece of work. Drug hustlers and construction scam artists.

I think if people were smart and think of others. Think about your own situation... how long does a roll of toilet paper last in your household? People are buying way too much and not thinking it through. Even if you run out just hop in the shower or disgusting as it sounds find an old cloth, dish rag, t-shirt whatever. Use it and toss it in the trash or washer.

Toilet paper isnt a necessity of life... its a convenience.

Bottled water.... buy a water filter. My fridge has a filtered water dispenser built-in.

Bread? I've got flour, yeast and a bread maker.

Milk and eggs, unfortunately I don't own a chicken or a cow. So I'm stuck going to the store.

But heres the thing. Unless you're ordered to stay in isolation by a doctor or health official then you can leave your house to buy groceries.

Italy left their grocery stores and pharmacies open for that reason. People that don't need to stay inside don't have to, they're just being asked to spend more time indoors for now.

Like what they say when we get a bad snow storm here. If you don't need to leave the house then stay in.

if you're home and need toilet paper, you can easily just wash your ass. Toilet paper is probably like the least of my worries. Food >>>>>>>>>>>> toilet paper. It's not like an earthquake where the water and electric lines are off

I get there’s special circumstances, but you can’t tell me all these freakin people are single parents or have young kids or are elderly. Those people it makes sense to stock, but only to a point (10 of everything is ridiculous). It’s the paranoids that are following suit in panic that are pissing me off.

Their full names have been exposed in the local media here, even the local sports radio shows talked about them, the husband is a scumbag and he's known to authorities, it'll be hard for them to escape getting some justice served to them. See Lord Zedd's post above.

The toilet paper hysteria is one of the funnier things. Canada's largest producer even said there won't be a shortage but people are still losing their minds.

Humans are so interesting.

Oh I almost forgot... it's not just the people doing this, it's **** Loblaws. The Gaylea butter was 7.19/lb. It's never been that much. I have also never seen a day where there was zero on sale. Well all of a sudden... nothing is on sale.

Loblaws, if they think I'm not going to remember that and I'm not going to recover my pound of flesh back later, they are really **** mistaken. I left that place pretty disgusted by even higher prices for a fair bit of items and flat out profiteering.
