We may have to put up with a season of relative mediocrity. Perhaps a 6 seed. It's worth the sacrifice to keep our max slot. We are setup for AT LEAST 3 years of contention after that.

Wouldn't be the end of the world. Lakers and Nets probably make any short term solutions futile anyways. We can't be sacrificing 3 or more years of contention starting from 2021 for a front court player who probably won't make any difference with this season's final results. Are there any front court players available who will make a difference in when we're eliminated this spring?

In 2021 lebron, durant, kyrie, leonard, george will all be a year older and teams will shuffle decks. I think being overly concerned about this season could sabotage what we've been building towards.

If we couldn't play Ibaka or Gasol against the celtics when it mattered (we won game 6 by going small and made game 7 close by going small too) then we can't assume anything serious in terms of postseason success will hinge on either of them this season.

This just took the air out of the upcoming season. Gonna be a boring season knowing we won't even win a round.

There definitely will be interest from FA because there is a starting spot up for grabs. Curious to see who the FO targets now (aside from Gasol). I think Giles, Cousins, Biyombo, Hernangomez, Cauley-Stein, and Baynes are the best available.

Lakers are winning the chip after all those moves they made....Raptors aren't beating them even if Ibaka played like an allstar

we can't do that, we only have the MLE (9.5/yr) available, and looking at what just happened with Serge it doesn't look like we'd be willing to offer a guaranteed 2nd year to anyone.

Just gotta trust in Masai and his ability to find talent. Hopefully he taps a talent from his Giants of Africa program.

So many options to back fill here. Being successful with small ball against Boston might be why we are here right now. We had two massively paid bigs. Len also is a back-up option.

There was never much air anyway. Winning a round is meaningless. This franchise needs a superstar if it intends to contend again for the foreseeable future.

I agree we weren't winning any championship this year but I could have hoped for at least 1 round. Now we're not winning a single round.

Hell no. Not trading Lowry’s expiring deal for the worst contract in the league.

Baynes gasol cousins Giles whiteside. We need 2 of them and hope at least 1 of them breaks out for us.

Embrace small ball. If there is one team that is built for it, its our roster.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

Ya but winning a round this year could have been interesting knowing we are going after a superstar the following season. Now I expect utter trash this season relatively to where we've been for the past few years.
