This 100%. I'm talking to the Warriors in the off season season proposing a Siakam for Wiggins+Wiseman and Minni pick deal. If you're lucky maybe even pry that GSW 1st as well. That's a hell of a start for a proper rebuild.

There.

Does that make you happy?

I would too.

About time we got rid of the no talent waste of cap space.

Obviously that was sarcasm.

The man is not a center. Look at him, he is angry. Fred is angry, OG is frustrated, Chris has hit a wall, and it is because they are being asked to play with no center. Plus they see management has thrown in the towel with the trade of Norm.
Plumlee isn't an elite talent yet we have no talented big to put against him. Small ball doesn't work if that's all you have. It is a temporary strategy not a foundation.

People, who say, "let's trade this guy or that guy," I say, "trade him for what?" If we see deficiencies, then why would another team offer up equal or better value? If we see him as overpaid, another team will too.

I'd trade anyone if the price is right. Siakam on good team is 2019 and prebubble Siakam. His skill set isn't suited be to be a #1.

I agree. Here's the thing....we wait til after the lottery to make the trade. I don't want that much uncertainty. 60% chance that skinny picks 4th or 5th. If that happens....THEN we make the trade. They probably won't give up Wiseman so I'll just take their own 2021 FRP in his place.

That would give us 3 FRPs and 2 SRPs in this draft. Two of those FRPs being in the top 10 in a strong draft.

It usually takes a team 3 or 4 years to accrue that kind of rebuild. And we would be adding them all onto OG and Fred as starter pieces. Maybe sign and trade Kyle for Oladipo too.

This would be a shot of life into the franchise.

Siakam would probably benefit from the presence of a competent Center more than anyone on the team.
If we get I good big in the offseason, I’d keep him around but if it takes trading him to get a big I’d consider it.

no. On court, the problem is FVV (what he cant do), not siakam.

pascal might be a bit over paid, but he's truly a plug and play guy and can help a contender win. Fred on the other hand, should only come off the bench as the 6th man and launch 3s, and he's getting paid way too much for that.

Trading Siakam now would be akin to trading Derozan after the first Wizards series.

At this point its kinda dumb to do so.

Mark my words. He will release a youtube summer workout vid draining 10/10 threes with a spicy p branded turban on his head and promising to prove everyone wrong 2021-2022.

If no video then yeah trade him.

Depends on the offers. But would I actively shop him and make it a goal to move him? No. But I’d let all GM’s know that I’m open to anything.

Yes. Everyone should be available. OG is probably the only one where I would only make a move if the offer is an absolute overpay.

You don’t make a trade just to make a trade but, none of this these are my core guys so they a untouchable nonsense.

JB7 wrote:Pascal + filler (Lowry) for Simmons

Simmons and Embiid just do not fit together. Philly is worried about losing everything that Simmons brings (size, ball handling, D, play making, rebounding), but as long as he cannot shoot, he cannot win with Embiid.

Pascal is like a lesser version of Ben in all of those skill sets, with shooting. He would compliment Embiid a lot better, while the Sixers would not lose a lot of what Ben offers.

If they were to move Ben for Beal, they would be sacrificing too much on D.

For the Raptors, Ben is the #1 option they are missing. While he can't shoot, he can still drive the play, and get into the paint, creating open looks for the team's shooters. The Raptors are exactly the type of team that Ben should have built around him - 3 & D players (FVV, OG, GTJ). Plus, Ben at 24yrs old fits the age profile of the team now with OG, GTJ and Flynn, and FVV to a lesser extent.

After another early playoff exit, Ben will be on the trade market this summer.

Pascal + filler (Lowry) for Simmons and George Hill!!! Sneak in Paul Reed?

Imagine drafting Cade!?!?!? Trade the 2nd's to Philly for their 1st pick to draft Queta?

PG FVV - Hill - Flynn
SG Cade - Hill - Harris
SF OG - Trent - Hood
PF Simmons - Reed - Watanabe
C Boucher/Queta - Simmons

Very difficult to find that star. The Kawhi scenario isn't gonna happen again

I disagree. Although you can't win a championship with Demar as your #1 option, he still has a traditional #1 skillset. He has a very advanced iso/half-court face-up game, tremendous footwork, and gets to the line a ton. Pascal on the other hand, should never even be the #1 option on the worst team in the league. His skillset and physical limitations has him necessarily capped as a second option at best. He will never be a #1 guy. You can't just give the ball to Pascal in desperate times and say "go to work".

I'd do that in a heartbeat, but why would the Warriors make this move?

Warriors don't have much time with their core as Curry is 33 and Klay is 31. I think they can go all-in to contend next season and adding Siakam as a 3rd option would be perfect for them.

Getting the GSW 1st out of the deal would be tough though
