The only thing consistent about Suggs is him being an outlier in every one of these graphs![]()

lol i fully admit i wanted mobley or suggs over barnes, but to be fair i never knew that in the past 4 years hes never taken more than 13 shots in a game(until the boston game), and i didnt know that he has a completely different looking jumpshot than in college already, i feel like scouts were generally wrong about him too and they saw him on a regular basis one could assume. so regular fans could probably be excused for not being privvy to alot of stuff our front office was, all i heard and saw was a guy with a great attitude and defense and a questionable jumpshot lol, i thought it was more of a hail mary based off his physical attributes than it really is now that we can see him day in and day out.

Barnes looked pretty awful in college. He couldn't hit a FT. His shot looked totally broken. It was a super small sample, but it was all we as fans had to go by.
This is where good scouting comes into play. Masai and Co. clearly saw that he could improve based on their time with him in workouts. To the rest of us, he just looked like a raw version of Draymond Green.
AbC? wrote:I said it before the draft, I watched so many of his college games and I couldn't get over how basic Suggs' handle was. No deception, no shake, no east/west, nothing. It's not the shooting which will probably come around, the defense is there, he can pass, but his lack of handle just limits how much he can contribute right now. When you play the same position as guys like Trae/Morant/Fox/Lamelo/Shai, IDK how excited you can get for a vanilla PG prospect without the flash of those guys.
Now watch him drop a triple double against us lol.

Lets not act like any of us actually watched FSU games or were in any position to say he 'looked awful' beyond mockdrafts and youtube scout breakdowns. I might buy some fan in Indiana or the Carolinas being massive college hoops diehards who really follow the NCAA like its the pros, but most of us are in Canada![]()
Time for us to all eat this L and admit we're having all these debates and takes on draft prospects based on some super casual level skim 'research'
