Re: PG: Abysmal
It’s probably stipulated in Casey’s severance package that he gets to own the Raptors in every matchup for the rest of his coaching career.

As always Casey pwns Nurse along with how the reffing this game too on how the calls where made by them. Knowing Raps played terrible and how some got injured by the Pistons damn 20-19 record...

Re: PG: Abysmal
this team isnt well coached, we have no bench and no center. tough. not sure why we keep running out at guys like hayes allowed him to get in the paint and create ball movement. remember bledsoe in the playoffs? we used to back off non shooters now we would sprint out at guy in the stand if he had the ball

This was to be expected. Going from an empty arena to a raucous 3,000 fans at Little Caesars Arena would be tough for any team. I just hope it doesn't take another game or two to adjust.

This is who we are as a team if we continue to have Fred dominate the ball, and shots, and tempo.
Like mix it up Nurse.

Our bench got outscored by 30 points. That's literally the game.
But yes let's all blame the main guys who clearly had off nights after carrying for the past few weeks.
At some point you have to have a guy on your bench who can come in and score. We don't have that. Our bench is terrible. Nobody can hit open shots.
That's compounded when you don't have Trent. Hopefully he's back tomorrow.
Their bench played 107 minutes and shot 34 shots and got 16 free throws from the refs
our bench played 84 minutes, took only 21 shots and got 5 free throws
our bench had 13 fouls called on them, theirs only had 9 fouls
tell the whole **** story

Trash coach who has been beat 8 times by Casey and hasn’t changed a thing about how to play his teams! Nurse is a joke

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuck
Is it bizzarro or Casey simply playing these games like a playoff game? It's pure scouting and knowing what the other team is doing. Games like this teach you more than games where you face teams that don't know you well.
Casey basically takes advantage of every flaw this team has.

Re: PG: Abysmal
Fred shot under 30%....the same as Achiuwa
1 starter shot better than 36%
We had 5 guys who shot a combined 0-8

The only way we're going to reliably defend our basket is if we install carney rims, which will drastically affect other teams and not ours. We're shooting 28% regardless.

Re: PG: Abysmal
Stupid. It made no sense to leave our starters in there when we were down 21 early in the 4th. I know we went on that 13-0 run with Siakam/FVV/Scottie leading the way to cut the lead to single digits, but this game felt over when we came out even more lethargic to start the second half. We clearly didn't have anything going tonight and our starters should have played 10 minutes less at least.PrinceAli wrote:Fred and Pascal with over 40 minutes in a double digit loss on the first night of a back to back. Well done Nick
On another note, our bench ends up losing us another game. Some people might point to FVV having a really bad shooting night and OG being a turnover machine (and also having a bad night after a hot start), but our bench gave us 16 points on 5/21 shooting (1/11 on threes) while turning the ball over 4 times. Those wide open missed threes by Yuta and Svi especially felt so deflating.

With that said, boy did we play a terrible game. In order to win games when our stars struggle, you need other guys to produce. Yuta, Scottie, Svi, Precious need to hit their shots. Way too many wide open misses.
Don't you know, our bench sucks because our main guys don't involve them enough. That's the new brilliant narrative I took from the game thread.
We have too many bench players with the wrong skillsets. No shooter/scorers
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.

To lose is one thing, to be a 'top 10 offence' and put up that is probably pointing to how covids skewed things in our favor, is guess we probably miss the playoffs by the end of the season.
