this team isnt well coached, we have no bench and no center. tough. not sure why we keep running out at guys like hayes allowed him to get in the paint and create ball movement. remember bledsoe in the playoffs? we used to back off non shooters now we would sprint out at guy in the stand if he had the ball

Gotta make a deal for real rim protector - we are continually exploited at the basket. 6'8 is great on D for everywhere but 5 feet and in.

The only way we're going to reliably defend our basket is if we install carney rims, which will drastically affect other teams and not ours. We're shooting 28% regardless.

Stupid. It made no sense to leave our starters in there when we were down 21 early in the 4th. I know we went on that 13-0 run with Siakam/FVV/Scottie leading the way to cut the lead to single digits, but this game felt over when we came out even more lethargic to start the second half. We clearly didn't have anything going tonight and our starters should have played 10 minutes less at least.

On another note, our bench ends up losing us another game. Some people might point to FVV having a really bad shooting night and OG being a turnover machine (and also having a bad night after a hot start), but our bench gave us 16 points on 5/21 shooting (1/11 on threes) while turning the ball over 4 times. Those wide open missed threes by Yuta and Svi especially felt so deflating.

With that said, boy did we play a terrible game. In order to win games when our stars struggle, you need other guys to produce. Yuta, Scottie, Svi, Precious need to hit their shots. Way too many wide open misses.

Don't you know, our bench sucks because our main guys don't involve them enough. That's the new brilliant narrative I took from the game thread.

To lose is one thing, to be a 'top 10 offence' and put up that is probably pointing to how covids skewed things in our favor, is guess we probably miss the playoffs by the end of the season.
