Who would you give for KD? Pascal/Scottie/Neither?

Scottie is our future - you can't trade him unless it makes us the favourites for the next few years (it won't).

The answer is neither. If we can get KD in a dollar for four quarters type trade, you do it. But we're not giving up our present or future to make it happen.

Last night Bobby Marks showed a list of guys, bam being the best one, of guys who are on a rookie extension and so can't go to Nets because they already have Simmons on the same type contract. Would it be crazy to try to get Ben for cheap because the Nets would like to be free to add a different guy on one of those contracts?

I was just listening to an interview with Marks and he said Toronto is by far “the cleanest” deal to be made.
He said every other suitor for Durant gets complicated due to lack of assets and contractual issues such as the Bam/Simmons rookie contract extension rules.
He noted that the Raps have their picks, good young talent and salaries to make a deal that doesn’t over complicate things.

No one of KD's caliber is going to list the Toronto Raptors as a preferred trade destination. However if Nets FO ends up telling him Masai has the best offer on the table I doubt KD would be opposed to it.

His past health issues don’t preclude him from criticism. It’s an awful suggestion to say the Raptors should consider levelling their team for Durant, which is what that trade would do.

OK, here's my conspiracy theory. Raps prompted Doug to write this drivel to prime the fanbase, so when a trade involving some of these pieces actually happens, it doesn't look nearly as bad. We all let out a collective "Whew!", the way I did when OG and/or Pascal didn't go out in the trade for Kawhi.
