He boards well for a true to size PG.

The more I look at the numbers, the more I believe Scottie+Quickley is going to be an awesome duo. Having a couple smart, talented, two-way young guys like these two is pretty exciting.

Haha, I really did get my guy. I thought it was the most obvious trade on the market but I did not think it would happen due to the lawsuit between them.
Ugh we should sue you all again for stealing IQ from us
I’m honestly perplexed that you guys made the trade.
I’m not complaining though lol.

Quickley is very quickly going to be the next Maxey. Book it!
Using Dick-Quickley in the backcourt

This might be the move that helps Dick as well. I haven't been to happy with the Dick pick, but sometimes all you need is a trade that gives the coach a chance to entertain some possibilities with the roster.
I know Dick will definitely benefit from this trade. I was thinking a quickley penetration will free up Dick for open shots.
Malachi definetly ain't Immanuel, but there were short spurts where I saw some potential with Malachi and Dick in the backcourt.
Thoughts

A guard that can create his own shot? Happy new year to all.

I haven't been this excited about the Raptors in a long time.

Dick is not a SG and cannot defend them adequately. He has to play SF. With RJ in the fold, who has a similar defensive profile, I'd consider moving him. Its kind of waste having him in a limited bench role moving forward.

I'm very happy with the comp scoring wise, but not sure if quickley will pass the ball as effectively as maxey

Playing with Barnes will rub off on him.

We need to start IQ and Trent just for spacing reasons. We need as much movement shooting next to Barnes and Siakam as possible. We don't need Poeltl against teams who don't have true Cs that can hurt us on offense. The Celtics without KP was a game we should have tried something like that out.

Relax guys, he has upside but just because he looks like Maxey doesn’t mean he is Maxey
This is where losing Nick Nurse will hurt most, he would actually get the best out of Barrett and Quickley

Listened to Locked on Knicks podcast from yesterday.
Headline: RJ needs to be traded and Quickley needs to start. They were perplexed he was getting less minutes than last year, considering his positive impact on +/- and all two man combos.
Not your problem anymore Knickerbockers. I’m gonna tune into their next pod for the meltdown
