A cluster fk from serious piss poor management who were on cruise control since the title

Huh? They blew it up last year and picked a direction, how is that consider a "cluster fk"?

This topic has been beat to death. But how we even ended up in that position in the middle of last season was unacceptable. Years of directionless neglect into a hasty rebuild.

Hope you guys are ready to be dissappointed lol we are not winning 41 games....With 80 percent of the roster being 1-2 year rookies...

He's correct though. This year is first year of rebuild. Last 4 years were straight up failure.

We just seen on team Canada vs USA....The Canada starters can hold their own but when the bench comes in full of guys not ready to be in that position they get run off the floor....The same will be very sim to our team next year....Our starters will keep us in games but when our bench of Brown/Olynyk + A bunch of rookies come in the game there will be lots of mistakes....

It will be a development year and with development comes lots of mistakes and letting players play through them....

Id be shocked if we stay over .500 this year...

Hope you reviewed the roster with the BIG3 having already proven to be key contributors to winning basketball; prior to Darko. All 3 being 20-point scorers, with an center entering his prime.
While the Bulls were playing Dosunmu, Caruso, Coby, Vucevic and DD with NO BENCH basically. Just be ready.

Glad you have the confidence....But i just don't see it....I don't think we bottom out but i also don't think we are a winning team....Prolly somewhere in the middle....25-32 wins....The starters arn't all gonna play 82 games either....There will be points in the season we need to depend on a "rookie" ....

25-32 cannot happen unless SIGNIFICANT injuries strike again. We literally did absolutely everything to lose and still managed to win that bottom 25 you are projecting. We could have won 35 games without that losing-at-all-cost mindset. Another coach would have gotten us up there with Orlando and Pacers in the Standings
Our BIG 3 have already made the playoffs. Scottie cannot go 3 years in a row without making them. FO needs to know if IQ can actually handle the playoff pressure to build further(he could not handled it in NY while RJ handled it fine) . IQ is 25 already.

All we have is that “Big 3”. The bench is still total ass and any key injuries will send us on a losing streak.

We finally have a backup PG that can defend the POA
Mitchell
Gradey or Ochai
Brown
KO
Boucher
............Looks okay to me! But Coach Darko is at the helm

It’s 6 months into a rebuild, only difference is now you control your draft pick.

I mean, I can see what he's saying that last year was such a year of flux, you couldn't possible establish anything.

Ideally this year will have 95% less roster flux, same players in and out the same day, that you can establish more.

Last year they came out of the gate with a system built around Scottie and had to pivot becasuse it wasn’t working for Pascal. Won’t have that problem this year.

Did they ever publicize his contract?

I would imagine he makes it through this year. He was brought here to develop guys, so we’ll see how guys like Gradey, IQ and Scottie develop this year, along with some of the new additions.

I think by year 1 of Scottie’s deal, Darkos third year, HO will expect to start winning more games than losing. Not top 2-3 seed or anything but not 500.

Anyhow the organization pissed away the last four years. IQ, Scottie and RJ have given them a chance to get it right.

He ain’t getting fired. He did a great job with Scottie and Gradey.

Lol @ "first year." Explain to us wtf the last 3 of the 4 years were then. We obviously know the answer, which was spinning our wheels in the mud but don't act like it didn't happen.

Just disheartening knowing we probably have another 2 years until this can be expected to make the playoffs and then if everything goes right, only then we can expect to win a playoff round.

You can do a great job with Scottie and Gradey, and still lose games.

CEOs get fired all the time. I’m sure they do tons of things well, but at a certain point, the results start to matter more. Different leadership styles that depend on the business’ current needs. Not a new concept.

If Darko isn’t winning games in 2026/27, he won’t be here. That’s my guess.

nah not the focus of the year yet. teaching them 0.5 offense comes first.
