I understand the Raptors wanted to rebuild, but they couldnt recreate a good team with Pascal and OG? Even keep Norm? Fred was gone, no one sane was giving him a max deal.

The hiring of Darko sealed the fate of OG/Pascal and it is on Masai.

With more luck, Masai's first choice Udoka would have been more detached to the Boston situation thus we would have gotten Udoka coaching OG/Pascal with Barnes&Yak. Looking at how he transformed the baby Rockets' defense..one can only imagine what he would have done with those 4! It is heartbreaking to have missed on that! Heartbreaking

Seriously. People often overlook that team but that's our best regular season win% in franchise history. We pushed Boston to the brink with Pascal basically being a shell of himself.

It's one of the biggest "what ifs" in franchise history

Nope but I personally am not too impressed with the East this year or the future of the East....Its prolly the worst its been since some time...

Its cool if you are very impressed by it....But doesn't mean i have to be....But if Pacers beat OKC without a major injury....That would impress me alot....Doubt it happens personally but we shall see...

I am unsure we prefer Udoka and his previous troubles.
However, it is very disappointing that we traded Siakam. Furthermore, people claimed that Siakam was in the way of Barnes, which this year, things are pretty obvious that both players went to the opposite direction.

Afterall, maybe it is a blessing that Siakam was traded to a better place.

Pascal taking 13.4 FGA vs Hali's 11.4

He has been the Pacers leading scorer in the regular season and playoffs for the last 2 seasons.

Time to transition, Pascal is the number ONE option of the Pacers.

Haliburton is an incredible engine, the Pacers plays a SSOL style of high octane basketball because of his court vision and advantage creation and that was before Pascal joined. I love Pascal and I'm rooting for him to succeed, and I think he is the key in the series against OKC but to say he is the head of the snake for this Pacers team is reaching.

He is the #1 scoring option especially in the Knicks series because of how bad KAT's defense is, but Haliburton is the guy that makes the system works.

Its possible but Masai did try to trade for a player for Siakam to run with....But could never get the deal done.....Like i said at that time the east wasn't as barren as it is this year and how its looking next year as well...In 2022 and beyond the east had legit teams in front of them....Butlers Heat, Embiid Sixers, Tatum/Brown Celtics, Bucks were a legit threat back them times as well with much better team....

The East will be the weakest next year as well that it has been in so long.....People want to fault Masai or certain posters on here that wanted a new direction....They also do not factor in that Siakam/OG/FVV were ALL becoming free agents....FVV Walked in FA, Siakam was going to leave as well had we not traded him as well as OG.....These guys didn't want to stay in Toronto...Thats no fault of Masai....I bet if FVV stays that offseason (Which Masai wanted to do) and OG/Siakam commited for 5 years we would still be running with that team today .....These guys wanted out behind closed doors...

I mean you can say that now....But there were legit rumors of him wanting to be with the Pacers....OG was basically already a Knick which we all knew....We have no idea how the convos went....But its not out of the relm of possibility that these guys were going to leave in Free agency....Which is why they were traded.....Lets say even if Siakam stayed with this current team Masai has very few options to build a title contender with that.....Pacers while making it to the finals to me are not a legit threat to win the title....I don't think OKC loses this matchup unless something crazy happens like a injury to Shai or Jdub....

At that time there were a whole lotta rumors that they wanted out of Toronto even if it wasn't said in the public eye.....But i will trust Masai judgement there is a reason he made the trades he did....something obviously wasn't going well behind closed doors that us fans were not privied to..

Bro...humble yourself. Pascal wanted to stay in Toronto because it would have meant more money. He never wanted out of toronto because no other team could give him the supermax.

I'm skeptical you even understand what we are talking about but I will explain it to you. Siakam was only allowed to sign the supermax contract with toronto because we drafted him. All the other teams have a lower limit of $ to which they are allowed to give him.

That's why he didn't want to be traded and that's also why all the BS you are typing in this thread is hilarious.
