Shai has done his duty for OKC.

Now he will be returning home to Toronto next summer.

So happy for this guy. Balls his way. True Canadian. Plays for the national team. And can ball out!

Totally. 3x All-NBA, league MVP with a ring at an age before Nash had even cracked the All-Star team.

he accomplished all this at 26. he's already in rarified air in terms of accomplishments, but he has potential to be one of the absolute best of all time at this point depending on how the next ten years of his career go.

Slightest of margins to Nash 2x MVP in a decade of Shaq, Kobe, Dirk, Duncan, Iverson, Bron, and McGrady. Then in the next year he finished 2nd. He was the system for D'Antonis Suns I doubt any PG could have made it work.

I think Shai passes Nash in a few years especially with another chip, MVP but both are the two best. Jamal Murray isn't even in the convo

With a shadow of a doubt this is not a question anymore.

With the Finals birth I thought the argument got interesting but I was still leaning Nash. Now that he won the Chip and the Finals MVP, I think if he stopped playing tomorrow, he's the best Canadian to ever do it.

Add in the 3rd place finish at the WC, the Olympic birth, and I think the resume is good to go.

I still see a good argument for Nash (an extra MVP and double the All-NBAs) but I think the Chip eclipses these.
