I like Bane on the Magic. The price was steep.

I was sure they were targetting someone like Jace Richardson in this draft.

If you’re going to overpay this is how you do it.

Bane is 27 at the beginning of the season and is locked up for 4 more years.
Banchero- 22
Wagner-23
Suggs- 24

All 4 guys are locked up long term and Orlando still has the Nuggets pick and really need a 3 and D center to completely open up things for Banchero.
This is where hitting on picks is crucial because they would have been in a better position if Black could contribute more and if they hadn’t completely whiffed on Jett Howard. This is much better than trading for an over the hill KD. It will be interesting to see how he fits with Orlando.

I’m just very surprised the Memphis traded Bane before Ja. Guess it’s rebuild time.

I think JJJ is the most untouchable guy on that roster. They'll trade Ja before giving up JJJ. They already traded Smart and a 1st to Washington to give themselves more salary flexibility to extend JJJ.

They'll probably expect Jaylen Wells/Vince Williams to fill in for Bane and start to give GG Jackson more run.

And they have draft ammo now to make a run at a different star if they wanna go in a different direction.

KCP is kinda bad money for the next two years. I think Cole Anthony is better than he gets credit for, but Orlando now has a big 3 that are affordable and fit together.

Memphis has next to nothing to look forward to. They're competing with Sacramento right now.

Nah. The biggest return on it in Ingram hasn't even seen any floor time yet. It'll make more sense when we see him play and Ochai/Walter are good pieces too. They made out okay

Vs 4 1sts for bane 4 year 160

Bane is less than 1 year younger than Ingram.

True. Siakam was leaving too, did not want to extend. Then you have to consider the market too.
