Would've actually preferred a shorter length. Maybe 2-3 years. 4 years is a long time in NBA terms.

It'll look great if nba salary cap continues to rise, which is should, not to mention we don't have any upcoming natural center to take over.

Acceptable.

Absolute steal for a top 10 centre Yak way more valuable to winning compared to Turner

Where is Michael Grange's confirmation of the extension? I wont believe until he confirms it.

Ew, they couldn't get him to agree to a flat one?

I could be wrong but with the cap increases the % of cap stays the same or even goes down a little

The cap is still super unstable right now, IIRC the 28-29 projection has dropped by like 20mil. Hopefully it stabilizes and the increase get washed away.

This a good one - insulting - but good.

You should've responded that you have a player option ;)

Jakob "bad timing" Poeltl, clearly a waste of Dillingham

We are still under the luxury tax and because poeltl opted in, the year afterwards his salary is still "only" 19,5 mil. RJ should be gone at the end of the season next year. I dont see a long term future for him.

We’ll be paying Poeltl 30 million when he’s 34 years old. We have to get a younger option in to take over.

unless ochai is getting 25+mil, we will have no problem keeping him.

So $170M for a starting lineup of IQ, Barrett, Ingram, Scottie, and Jak in 2026-27.

5 years. He still has the two years (he opts in) from his current contract and then the 3 years he extended now. At least thats how i understood it. So essentially he is under contract until the end of season 2031.

Can someone confirm that. I am not 100% sure.

This contract is a bargain. Not only will he opt in for only 19,5 mil in 2026, but also he only gets 26 mil/year and the contract only starts in two years. By then, we will see contracts of 30 mil on the regular for role players.
