Not ideal from 3 former 1st rounders. Play the undrafted Battle.
So sad that the only reason Battle's not playing is because hes undrafted... such stupid logic when youre trying to win this year.

lol a third string C is not saving the day
Our wing depth which is supposed to a strength gave us nothing this game.
Also, Trendon Watford doing a Jokic impression is what did us in.

No yak is tough in a game like this. Also watford alone outproducing gradey, walter and ochai is rooooough.

Bobby needs to be fired if he let this continues.
Year after year of not having a true backup center to compete at a higher level is unacceptable.

But Darko will continue to play him over Battle
I imagine the directive is coming from the FO. Dick and JaKobe were FRPs, and they traded a FRP for Ochai. They invested a lot in these guys and want to see what they can provide (although it's clear from the outside that it isn't much).

I don't think there is any overstating how atrocious Walter and Dick were.

Yeah, straight line drives were an issue all game long. Ochai and Walter were basically pylons out there despite being in there for D.
I think we could have played a more switchy D with Mamu out there, but they were taking advantages of switches onto smalls in the post a lot tonight.

Re: PG: Back to .500 (5-5)
We have to pick our poison with Walter and Dick.
Dick gets targeted big time on defense, and teams are ignoring Walter. It's like we have to play Ochai by default and pray that other teams still believe he can hit that corner 3 at an insanely high rate.
And of course, we could just roll with Battle instead

The kid is still the age of most rookies this season & costs next to nothing to have on the roster, I really don't understand why we didn't just keep him on the roster to have a big body (he actually looks like he's going to be really strong once he matures) to at worst dish out some fouls lol. He wasn't doing anything mind blowing but he honestly just about started to look like he belonged on a NBA court, I really felt like by the end of this season he'd eventually look like a passable rotation player and we just cut bait so insanely quickly, I don't get it.

I don't think Gradey was anywhere near as bad as Walter, he missed some makeable shots. Walter just looks lost out there.

Both ochai and Jakobe were out there for defense and provided none. In return we gave up what little bit of size we had left in mamu

Darko is probably still in data gathering mode and experimenting. I think he's also trying to get those 2 guys going a bit because they have been next to useless this season so far.

Brinbe wrote:only so much you can expect from cmb/scottie having to square up against real bigs. it's just not sustainable, especially on a b2b. but playing walter was def something they could've avoided, especially since he's scuffling right now and battle has been solid whenever he's been given time.
bobby needs to immediately make a move for a real big, especially if yak is gonna be in and out of the lineup a ton. every other team has multiple bigs so it's gonna continually be an issue all season and they'll end up dropping more winnable games like this one. just relying on scottie/cmb is not a real answer.
Easier said than done when they've piled up mediocre 2 guards and made them worthless by having them cannibalize each other's minutes. Will be very hard to get any half decent bigs with those unless they pair a valuable first round pick with 'em.

Yeah stop messing around and just play him 25-30 minutes per game. He’s a player.
not strong, only aggresive cuz the power ain't directed/ that's why, we are subjected to the will of the oppressive
