The league has completely suppressed the international vote. You can tell because Hansen Yang is also nowhere in these results.

I mean, they're one of the most popular teams in the league, and they're actually good.
ya but it's still their fanbase putting in the work....non-Knicks/casual fans aren't voting for Mikal or Hart and both are at 100k+ so we can assume that's close to the baseline.
Raptors fans were the same back in the Lowry/Demar days but the voting support has died down alot since then.

Re: All-Star Voting fan returns (spoiler: not good)
I love the front of the jersey, so the fact that they are OUR TORONTO RAPTORS, that is the #1 reason I watch, rather than any specific player. But if I'm picking a Raptor to watch on any given night, it's not even close, it's DPOY candidate, Scottie Barnes aka Magic Lite, with elite defense. I don't actually care if/which Raptors make the ASG (which is rarely watchable anyways), aside from the fact that it can (not always) be an indicator of how good of a season a team is having.

Hart, Giddey, Butler, JJ are all up there. You're telling me you're tuning into their games to watch them play?
The fact that Scottie is not even top 20 in voting goes to show that this fanbase has lost its passion. We were once one of the best fanbases in the league, that is no longer the case.
Our crowds during games are dead. We went from being one of the loudest arenas to one of quietest ones. Many reasons for that, but the biggest one being we've sucked for the last few years.
ingram is 12th in votes. do you think that was non-raps fans voting for him or raps fans voting for him? if it's the latter it's a bit rude because the fanbase is still passionate and they've voted for their all star.
I think Ingram still has alot of support from Lakers fans, wouldn't be surprised if a large portion is from them...like at least 20k votes.

It's on us to vote Scottie in, like we used to do for Lowry and DeMar. Not non-Raptors fans.

It's dead because they don't make the tickets affordable for the real fans.

Re: All-Star Voting fan returns (spoiler: not good)
I mean the product on the court is not very pleasing to watch, As well as Barnes has been the man here for many years and fans maybe know hes not leading us anywhere so they have grown tired of the Barnes franchise player gimmick...The Lowry/Derozan teams were also a much more exciting and aesthetically pleasing product to watch all around....
Its not just about wins/losses as well the Raptors buzz in general in Canada has fallen off....Jays are deff taking the place in Canada as the sports team to follow....The in arena buzz is also a tell....No one believes in this current team as a real team to follow/go see and rightfully so...Hype has been dead and the players on the court are prolly the reason for that...

East is ass, Tatum and Hali are both injured, so Barnes/Ingram might get some consideration as reserves.
Yeah the board is very dead compared to before. A part of the reason seems to be that the league is down in general. No one likes this 3pt chuckfest that Silver has turned the league into. General fans like grittiness. Low scoring games where buying buckets is tough and you grind it out in the post or mid range. Then there's also more back and forth / lead changes. That captures more interest.
Aren’t ratings at an all time high?
Reality is Reddit has killed boards like this. Notice how it’s the same dudes here for the last few years? New posters don’t pop up because younger fans nowadays don’t look for message boards.

Probably the same amount of games i turned on to watch Jalen Johnson
Zero
I mean you can’t be upset about Scottie ignorance if you’re also ignorant about JJ

Reddit definitely has more slop. I personally like “knowing” everyone here as even the garbage takes get as much publicity as the good ones.
Reddit just turns into a one liner fest with upvotes

Re: All-Star Voting fan returns (spoiler: not good)
The real shame here is how nikola jokic is not consistently at the top of fan voting every year. The guy legitimately is the best player in the league. Super underrated. Averages a triple double as a centre while shooting video game percentages. Video game numbers all around fans love Luka more though.

Is it actually possible the NBA hired some idiots who suppressed votes that don't have US IP addresses?

How do you then explain Vince as leading Vote getter in NBA 3 years ?... fans DO recognize a superstar, esp one that is on every fans "must see" list...
Raps have some good players in Scottie and Ingram ... but that's where it ends. But I do think Raptors fans across Canada seem to not care too much at this moment... and its reflected in the vote results. perhaps more winning will change that. If Scottie improves and our record also, perhaps he will get a Coach selection or a Substitute call...

Maybe today us fans can take 3 mins and go vote. It's 3x the vote today.
Of course there are a bunch of Barnes haters that will go to vote for others just to spite him...lol.

Yeah, the numbers look weird. LeBron's only 9th in the west. Think he was top 5 overall last year.
