fwiw, he put his home up for sale (the one located in the suburbs (to my knowledge) because he's building a new one. -- it's the same home we all saw online late last year with the wade pool, wade statue, wade bathroom etc.

Did NBC Miami use David Caruso to figure this out?
Because it looks like Dwyane Wade...

Indiana Jones wrote:didn't start building a house in orlando before he was even a free agent? well the fact that d-wade's house is up for sale is a good indication that he's not staying in miami. i doubt he gets traded mid-season, but that's the only way they can guarantee they get a return for him. the raptors have the assets to get wade, but we'll have to see if bryan is willing to part ways with some of his coveted guys like bargnani, jose, and demar.
Actually, it's the other way around. Wade's got low value right now, because no team will want to give up significant assets for a two month rental player unless Wade gives up free agency and signs an extension right now. Otherwise, that team will have egg all over its face when Wade bolts and there's nothing in return to show for it.
Wade actually has more value in the off-season. If he signs with another team, it is guaranteed it will be for a sign-and-trade. None of the top free agents will forgo $30 million when in one year the CBA's expiring, there's a possibility of a lockout, and the economy may still be in the tank. That's the whole reason why the class of 2010 structured the shorter contracts in the first place, and to not take advantage of it defeats the purpose of that contract. And to make salaries match, Miami will roughly get players worth a combined $20 million. Assuming they're not dealing for albatrosses, it's better than trading him now, when the players they get back will be closer to $15 million.
The only other possibility is the team that trades for him is willing to gamble that should Wade leave, they can still get a significant package for him in a sign-and-trade. However, that makes no sense for Miami, with Wade's lower salary right now. Plus, by retaining Wade, they keep the possibility of resigning him. If Miami trades him, they lose all potential for that.

I know he is not going to leave 30 million on the table and leave. But I enjoyed the article anyway.

I'd give up bargs for wade.
Bargs, Jack, Amir, and Wright plus a draft pick for D Wade and Arroyo.

As I said in another thread, Miami fans are interested in Bosh's fate because we can sign him. But I could care less if Bosh leaves Toronto to another team, he might as well stick with you guys.
The Raptors can't sign Wade. So I dunno why you guys are so obsessed with what he does.

Of course Wade will stay... but I love how it's now all about Wade leaving. Not too many Bosh rumors now that we're winning.

its pretty simple, actually:
1. we hate the Heat
2. Riley's hair looks like its about to be pumped and refined by Saudi Arabia
3. We are sick and tired of US media drumming up crap reports about Bosh bailing Toronto and get great pleasure when the same reports come from a US media source regarding a US player
4. the Heat are division rivals. Naturally, we want them to get weaker so we can beat them and get an easy victory year after year
5. If there were rumours about Bosh signing for less than max to win a 'ship, why can't the same be true for Wade? Toronto has great ownership, an excellent GM with a better tan, better hair and better clothes than Miami's GM and we have legal orgyhouses that would satisfy Wade alllll night long.
6. and finally, its been almost laughable watching Riley play out the last 1.5 seasons with pipe dreams to sign Bosh or LBJ. for that, Miami becomes the new Orlando, earning the title Most Deserved to Fail.

Not happening. Miami would rather ship Beas for someone like Amare and hope that that is enough for Wade to resign.... if not, they will explore S&T options this summer.
Best case for Raps is Miami is willing to S&T him, but it will probably cost us Bargs, which I would be more than ok with.

Is Riley the kind of powerful GM who would actually tell Wade that if he wanted to leave, forget about a sign and trade?

Re: NBC Miami: Wade unlikely to re-sign. Heat should trade him.
^ Riley might want to but I doubt he would. Look at next years Heat roster minus Wade, they have nothing. His best bet to rebuild the Heat would be to add talent via SnT because I'm not sure he'll be able to build a good team thru free agency without Wade there.
Atleast with the Raps, if Bosh leaves (he won't), we can still field a semi-respectable team with some upside in Bargs / DD.
BTW, look at these Heat fans here, GTFO, we put up with your bull for 1.5 seasons, enjoy the karma losers, LOL. But, but, "we have great weather and all the women", clowns.

Wade selling his house is bad news for Miami. It looks like he is seriously considering moving, he's sending a message to the team to do something or he's gone.

If Wade is available BC should offer the house for him.
I think the key thing with Wade is whichever team that has his bird rights will come out as winners.
Offer, Calderon, Bargs and Derozan to get it down.
