What about a Lowry, Siakim, OG and picks for Davis and Jrue.
Allows Pelicans to get playoff games, and build the future. I would be all over this

Rozier is bad, ask any Boston fan. Brown was overhyped, he's a nice player, but not what the Pelicans are looking for. Ingram has more upside than Brown, but I'm not saying I'm a fan of him either. Tatum and Kuzma are the most valuable pieces from the Celtics and Lakers imo.
i think Tatum, Kuzma and Siakam are on the same level in terms of worth.
its what comes after those players in the package that would entice the Pelicans.
Nah.
I love Pascal but Tatum is above the rest of the pack.
He's the youngest and yet by far the most skilled already. He looks to have a similar career projection to be like Paul George which is greater than either Kuzma or Pascal. But I sure as hell pray that NOP would even consider trading with us since as it stands now BOS can't even make a trade until the off-season.
Paul George isn't a bad comp for Tatum, but George is taller and stronger, and tatum seems to lack a bit of motor. I think Tatum will have to work hard to become a Paul George.

well that means Boston will be more in play in the off season. Regardless I think if Boston trades for him they will regret it as he is leaving for LA in a year and they will have lost all their assets.

Kawhi and Davis could sign for the Clips together next off season but this the now. The only thing that matters to is Raps fans is this year whatever happens after that will not matter if we go all the way to the NBA finals. We can rebuild after this season but **** I'll mortgage the future if we can somehow go all the way. Masais loyalty is to winning, and we will be in prime position if we can somehow trade for Davis this season. The lineup of Lowry, Green, Kawhi, AD and JV is championship material!

Although NOLA could wish to trade him now, you never know what happens if the season plays out. One injury and it's over.

They're waiting for the best deal they can get, Davis will be shipped out if the right price comes along.

Or they are using this as a leverage statement with LA. If Davis really wants LA rather than Boston, why would he tell the coach hell play out his contract and not just say he wants out now, thus giving more leverage to LA.
I think this is Gentry trying to recover value of Davis for trade negotiations.

You gotta throw jv in there too, but I’d do it in a second.
Holiday/Fvv
Green/wright
Kawhi/powell
Davis/Miles
Ibaka/Monroe
The defense with the starting unit would be stupid good.

Yup I’m all in. For 2 one year rentals.
Gives them a chance to see how they play together.
(The pitch to LA clips helping us on a 3 way trade scenario)

I don’t think Masai risks the future of the organization for two players that may not stick around. We have to remember that MLSE won’t be interested in tanking for a longtime. They want a marketable product out there and with the Leafs doing well, a few years of tanking could set this franchise back in terms of market share of casual fans. Bottom line is that there are too many organizational road blocks for the Raptors to offer a decent package for Davis.
What are you talking about? Masai has already risked the future with trading Demar for Kawhi someone who my not stick around. This is the same scenario as last year and the great thing is he kept assets like Pascal, OG, Norm and Delon, JV who he can traded for a player like Davis.
We are in prime position to make a decent offer. It may not be the best offer but it can definitely be a compelling one. Where we lack is first round picks that are higher and both Boston and LA will have better picks to give and we can't give closer picks either as we can only trade our 2021 and 2023 FRP's.
We can agree to disagree, which is fine. I see him positioning the franchise for a future rebuild. He got DeMar off the books for next season. There are many writers that have put forth the same thoughts about this as well.
Masai is all in this year, he dun give a flying **** what happens next season. That line of thinking is what made Boston win a championship a few years ago. Now it's our time to do it, this season right here right now.

On another note... how would you feel as a Pelicans fan listening to him say he likes it there and has every intention of staying. Right up until he signs with Klutch. I would be fuming.

I'm starting to think this might drag on like Butler but it will only hurt the Pelicans if it lowers his value since he'll be leaving either way.
Right now, teams will be desperate since he has still help them in the playoffs this year.

Waiting it out is highly questionable.
The extra asset accumulation does not outweigh the cons of
- Boston knowing they have the best assets so they don't offer as much because they know NO wants their assets
- Davis gets booed
- Fanbase constantly cribbing and becomes toxic
- Blah draft pick
- This lingers, could lead to other issues with the team or front office
- Injury
I'd deal him now for the highest offer.

Re: OT: WOJ: Anthony Davis requests trade; no intention of resigning with Pelicans
Several teams told ESPN that they're already weighing the possibility of making offers for Davis, including contenders who'd be willing to use Davis to chase a championship this season and perhaps recoup assets lost in a trade to New Orleans by flipping Davis at auction after the season -- or keeping him into the final year of his contract.
Does that not sound like us?

100% getting moved before trade deadline. Boiling down to the Lakers/Celtics as they attempt to c*ckblock each other.
