Lebron would be a pretty good add.

He only has a 7 foot wingspan. He might not qualify...

Turner strikes me as a dude who is happy with a limited role as long as he likes the environment and the team is winning.

We are 4.5 games back. Rare all top 8 bunched up like this. Basically forcing masai to make a move

This makes sense. I think we’re being active, as we should. The circumstances are right for a trade this year.

Of all those guys...Purtle is the one that makes the most sense. We could play him whatever number of minutes depending on matchups and he wouldn't complain. He knows his role and plays it well...which complements our offence perfectly. He won't demand the ball which suits Fred, Gary, OG, Scottie and Pascal just fine.

I don't need a center that demands the ball or has stars in his eyes because that isn't what a role on this team will provide.

As much as I think they’re perfect trading partners, I just don’t know if I see San Antonio moving Poeltl. Our first has some value, but he has played well and they’re not super far out of the playoff picture in what’s probably Pop’s last season. They do have Collins back but I just don’t see them moving him unless it’s for an upgrade.

Then again, they’ve been treadmilling for the last few years so who knows.

I could see that, but his public comments certainly haven’t made it appear that way.

Agreed, but we also need a bench guard to back up Fred. We can't spend all our trade chips on getting a C. I can see Puddle + White for Dragic and Birch and 1 FRP and 2 SRPs, although it might take 2 FRPs.

If we could get Lamb along with Myles, that would be fine, too. But it's harder to make the money work.

I've followed some of Turners social media. I think he has a soft spot for Toronto and would be happy to be there. Also not sure who would give him a featured role, I don't see it. He is a 3 and D big to me.

So this is probably why I ultimately wouldn’t trade for Turner, you just don’t want that in the locker room especially with big minutes being tight as is. Not saying he’s a bad dude, or a problem, or even wrong - I just don’t know that you risk bringing that attitude into what we’re building.

Totally agree. Nurkic or Mo Bamba seem safer and cheaper. Jak would be more expensive, but obviously he would fit in immediately.

Jake Fischer spoke on ‘The NBA Chats’ podcast with Alen Ramic and revealed that the Lakers would be willing to move some of their bigs. That would include Dwight Howard or DeAndre Jordan with the need being evident up in Toronto.

Jakob Poeltl, Myles Turner, Robert WilliamsII, Nicolas Claxton and Jusuf Nurkic are all very different Centers.
I am certain FO has one clear target

Myles is the only one that can take us to the next level:
We already have 3 legit All-NBA defensive players. Add the leading shot blocker in the league then we now have a championship-level defense.

THis is all bs. There is no evident need in TO whatsoever....not for a C.

US media does not understand what Raps are trying to do as do not many of their own fans on here.

Not sure how you come to that conclusion. Nurse runs a switch heavy scheme, will need a 5 that is capable of guarding perimeter. Jakob a better fit

Lol if Masai wanted Howard, we could have picked him up for vet mins anytime during the last few off seasons. Only player I want from the Lakers is AD.

We have an average defense right now. I don't think we go to a championship level defense just by adding Turner.

Man, why do the Lakers think THT is worth so much?

Nobody's biting, he's not worth that.

Nurse was the "coach" of the 2017-2018 Bench Mob, while Casey focused on the starters. To the extent that he has any input into roster decisions (and he certainly did with the Scottie pick), Nick has to be pushing for Poeltl.
