I think they are pretty different players. Really tough to see Black become more than a good role player with his poor shooting. For the Raptors, I think Black is a bad fit, I would prefer more shooting. For a team with a lot of shooting, Black is probably a better bet, but at least when I watch these guys, either looks to be such a good player that skill is more important than fit.

Your fit reasoning is why I like Jalen Hood-Schifino for Toronto. He has the size of Black, maybe as good passing ability, plus he can shoot it from mid range and three at a decent clip. Black is probably more athletic and a more committed defender, but JHS does everything pretty well and at around 210 lbs he is a ready to mix it up in the NBA tomorrow. Same with Cason for that matter although he is smaller and lighter so I don't expect him to guard up positions like JHS will.

Nick Smith Jr. is just the guy I have been following longer and thought he was going to be a top pick, so I think I have a sentimental attachment to him because I think he has shown to be better than he was at Arkansas. It is always hard to say which version is the true one, but I do think injuries took him out of the rotation and he never completely found his stride.

I prefer Nick Smith Jr over Black for the Raptors. Again, I see these guys as mostly around the same level and a lot of the picks from 8 to 18 or so will be more fit based rather than talent based. I could be wrong, just how I see it. I think Smith Jr and Lively are my guys at 13

Olin Simplis is a good trainer. I guess if he is working Bufkin that is a good sign.

Possibly a Toronto promise to Wallace or Washington even earlier.

As we saw, he just matched up against NSJ in Washington (8th pick) who need a PG, and now he's cancelling workouts. Interesting...

I could see Cason at #8, Bilal at #9 to Utah (maybe they see a potential AK47 2.0)?

If they run it back minus Fred, I think they have to draft a ball handling guard.

AK47 in his prime was a monster! 15 points, 6-8 rebounds, 3-4 assists, + 4-5 stocks. If anyone in this draft becomes that I’d be very surprised but we never know. I’d try to turn TJD into that sort of player

Seen Sensabaugh play a few times, his defensive effort is lacking often.

Even with Fred that's who they need to pick.

Options are Scoot, Wallace, Black, Bufkin, Podziemski, Cissoko

Scoot's not falling. Black can't shoot and probably isn't falling anyway. Wallace isn't likely to fall, but it's possible and his shooting has potential, but is only okay right now.

Bufkin is a good shooter with potential to be really good and okay to good at everything, but nothing outlier. Podz is the best shooter in the draft and I love his bbiq and how outlier his rebounding is a predictor stat for the rest of his game.
Cissoko is really hard to project, but has potential to be a decent shooter and I love his size, passing, and especially his free throw rate.
I'm really happy with Cason or Podz, Bufkin I'd be okay with, but have concerns as I'm not sure what his path to stardom is. Cissoko is also a guy I'd be okay with, but have more concerns that he could totally flop.
