I wonder if we could have taken on JHS and the two 2nds. Then waived JHS

The Lakers might be pretty desperate for a C after trading away Davis. I wonder what they can pay for Poetl.

They don't really have much, unless you want a 1st 8 years from now lol.

F*ck it, no trade I can make is as stupid as what just happened.

Unironically though, if the Mavericks are serious about AD/Kyrie then trading a banged up D-Live for Poeltl would be the correct kind of stupid move to absolutely ruin your franchise for years to come.

I'm still processing this news.

Even their future 1st doesn't mean much, since the Lakers can easily shoot right back into relevance in an instant

The question is which 3rd team wants Reaves, and we get the draft compensation to come our way.

Jak for Reaves/Vincent and you can add either Boucher/Davion plus filler on the Lakers side to fill out their needs while we get the picks back along with Vincent and whatever comes back from the 3rd team. And we'll take that Lakers pick.

Brown Scottie Dick, 20251st, 2026 Indy pick for Luka. If the NBA wasn't rigged.

Luka/RJ/Ochai/Boucher/Poeltl
Quickly/JKW/Davion/Olynyk/Mogbo

I think I would have rolled the dice.

Dallas would laugh at this trade and hang up. I think its stupid for them to trade Luka but it looks like they foolishly wanted a great player back to compete. In that case AD was the best they could have got. KD would be next but he is much older.

AD is a top 10 player and Barnes is not a top 30 player nor does he have the ceiling of current AD. Dallas clearly didn't want to rebuild or they would have got much better from OKC/Orlando or even Flagg+ ppicks in the offseason.

Lakers and Mavs are still gonna be buyers.

Yak
Boucher
Brown
Olynyk

All should/could be heavily sought after to fill in the “win now” holes these 2 teams have.

Poetl to LA has to happen. It’s a perfect opportunity

To Toronto
Gabe Vincent
Jared Vanderbilt
dieng
Miami 1st 2025

To OKC
Dalton Knecht

To LA
Poetl
Garret temple

Take on some bad money, a pick in the teens, and get to seriously tank it out. It’s the perfect opportunity.

In what world is AD currently a top 10 player? Especially trade value wise?

AD is a top 10 player in the league. As in he is one of the 10 best players in ball. He is better than Anthony Edwards/Booker and Lebron for one. Toss up with KD (but I lean towards AD at this age)

What is this trade boards or this small group on here's fascination with every Los Angeles Lakers scrub? First JHS we now Knecht like every deal has us giving positive to neutral value for Gabe Vincent, Rui and Vanderbilt. Dieng has shown not a whole lot in the league and is a 13th man. Unless Toronto is using Miamis pick with Indys for a upgrade I don't see it. Jared Vanderbilt is going to take more than this to absorb his contract

Yeah that's just a bad deal for the Raps. Some people are just obsessed with picks.

Bruce and Davion (or Boucher) for Ingram.

New Orleans saves about $6.5M (or save $2.2M)

Convert Battle to a standard contract.

Or
Raptors get:
Ingram, Wiggins, Matković
-Take on $11 Million

Warriors get:
Bruce, Kelly

Pelicans get:
Davion, Boucher, Mitchell, Payton II, Waters
-Save about $10 Million

Add picks where you see fit.

I can see New Orleans trading CJ McCollum to Detroit to get under the tax.

New Orleans gets: Marcus Sasser, THJr, Simone Fontecchio and 2025 2nd pick (Tor)

Detroit gets: CJ McCollum and cash

Toronto gets: NAW
Minnesota gets: Davion Mitchell and cash

Minnesota might not be ale to afford and increase in salary to NAW this summer, while Mitchell provides defense and is cost controlled.

This would be a last minute trade after Minnesota has shed some salary.

Phoenix get: Bojan Bogdanovic

Atlanta gets: Jusuf Nurkic, Rui Hachimura and Cam Reddish (or other LAL filler)
