Scherzer definitely has more old guy rizz than Kershaw.

Does Shohei Ohtani have the Will of D (Will of Dodgers)? Can he overcome our collective rizz, aimed like an arrow at his soul?!?

Can someone explain Dodgers vs Blue Jays in NBA terms?

Baseball is the one sport I could never get into

That's ridiculous. The Jays won more games this year. Heck, a couple years ago, the Dodgers won 100 games and the 84 win WC DBacks swept them in the playoffs. The Dodgers disappoint often in the playoffs.

What are you talking about? Siakam being hurt is equivalent to Bo being hurt.

It's easy to see why the Dodgers are heavy favourites. But these Jays have a knack for hitting great pitching - the more velo the better from some odd reason. It will probably come own to whether Bo Bichette (2nd most hits in the majors this season despite not playing the last 20 games) can (a) be available and (b) play a position that doesn't hurt us defensively.

This is what I’m worried about too. They’ve been playing great defense and don’t want to mess with that. His bat is super valuable but not worth it if he’s not at his best defensively.

His bat may well be rusty too. It's not easy to ramp back up to hit major league pitching after a few weeks off. Hopefully batting practice has helped. I wonder if he could play 2B. Gimenez is a much better SS even if Bo was healthy
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.

Damn shame we will have to pick and choose. Likely will have 2 TVs rocking in my house lol.

Might be the least exciting the city will be for opening night for Toronto in a long time.

Not sure when they could even change the time to work out better though. Maybe an early start? But then the rest of Canada cant watch so not really any better.

Was there much excitement a year ago for season opener?

Most people won’t even turn the raptors game on this year lol

I bet it’s the worst viewed one in years and years
What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.

It’s ridiculous just not for the reasons you state.

It’s baseball. It’s notoriously more random than basketball.

Winning 100 games is equivalent to 50 wins in baseball % wise. In the NBA teams win upwards of 60+ or even 70+ cause they’re so dominant.

Basketball is just a different beast. The dodgers are are like a 65 win NBA team, but the Raps are like a 60 win team.

Can Bo play 3B? His lack of range would be less of a problem there vs 2B/SS

Barger RF
Gimenez SS
Clement 2B
Springer DH

You can't just toss him there now. That's too much risk to be basically playing an entirely new position in the WS. If he's in, he's gotta be at DH I think. Barger at 3rd where he's better, Clement at 2B, Gimenez at SS and Springer goes to the OF. Rough defensively but I think you have to live with it if he's looking good swinging the bat.

The knee is an x factor for Springer. If he's not moving well then that complicates things.

I don’t think you can start putting guys at new positions in the WS. I don’t feel confident with Bo at SS after a long layoff.

He should be a pitch hitting option for the first few games at minimum.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Think of Bo on offense with OG on defense. OG was out for the playoffs.

You're not beating the dodgers without Bo's bat in the lineup, and George Springer who just hit arguably the most important homer in Jays history after Joe Carter has been DH'ing and doing it well, I don't think it's wise to mess with that.

Somebody is getting messed with, not sure it should be Springer. In my mind, it's either he is at 2nd Base, Gimeniz SS, Clement 3rd base and Barger RF or Bo's pinch hitting (like Santander) and Keep Lukes in the outfield (RF or LF). In any other scenario where Bo is on the field, you're just taking on too much risk. It's a tough call, fwiw, I hope he pinch hits if they really see he can't move well.
