Hawks future looking bright.
Jalen Johnson might be the best player from the 2021 draft. They have Pelicans 2026 pick.
They just gotta figure out the Trae Young situation.

Spencer brothers are balling. Meanwhile, these high upside/low BBIQ types continue to disappoint game after game after game.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

He’s got a claim to it.
23/10/8 with 2 stocks a game on ridiculous efficiency.
Even if he’s not, he’s in the convo with Cade, Sengun and Franz.
Also has an amazing contract. IQ will be paid more than him for the next several years.

He needs to do this for much longer than 15 games. He also needs to have more team success.
Cade is on a 19-5 team. Then you got Sengun and Mobley. Scottie has been phenomenal and is a legit two-way star. He’s entering the conversation, I agree, but very early and his track record pales in comparison to the players I mentioned.

I mean we only have one more win than him, it’s not like he’s doing this on a tanking team at the moment.
I agree that he needs to show he can do this over the course of the season but if he does? He’s easily top 2 of the draft for me.

Worst part about our loses is we could really be building some distance between us and these other teams

"Ridiculous" is a big word.
Scottie's presently a 102 TS+ guy, at +1.5% rTS.
He's doing quite well, especially relative to his prior performance, but "ridiculous efficiency" isn't accurate at all.
Jokic is having his second season of 70%+ TS (71.6% so far this season) at 24.5+ ppg (he's at 29.2 so far this season). THAT is "ridiculous efficiency."

Reality is that draft was great and on any given year, it seems like different guys have "best years".
Just glad Barnes is one of those guys given he was ROTY over them all, the 1st All Star from the draft, and is having a great year this year. He might not be "the best" but for a guy who was deemed a long term project with no level scoring, to have 3 great years in his 1st 5 is impressive. Hopefully he keeps building on it as we add more talent around him.
Cade, Mobley, Barnes, Franz, Seguin, and now JJ and Giddey....that's 7 All Star level guys. Glad we have one of them.
To think, the Warriors could of had Franz and Seguin but instead have Kuminga and Moody.
We did ok

We are having meltdowns over here, yet imagine being the Cavs right now. Highest payroll in the league, already incurred 350K in fines for the way they are load managing, and then you lose at home to the Warriors without Steph, Jimmy, Draymond, and Horford. Only Allen and Ball sat for the Cavs, losers of 5 of the last 7. Atkinson likely on the hot seat now.

feel like the cavs physically burned their bodies out going on that cavalanche run they did last season. they didn't have anything left for the playoffs and we can see they're still hurting now.
part of what makes the thunder that much more scary. they're so deep and dominant that they can afford to rest shai and their other starters so they don't get burnt out.

What's crazy is that Shai has played 23 games, and only had to play the 4th quarter 11 times.
Crazy to be able to do that WITHOUT JW even playing.

Since the start of last season, OKC is 90-15 in the regular season with a title in between, and on track for a likely top 10 pick.

They will have an interesting decision to make this offseason. The extensions for Chet and J-Dub kick in next season, and both IH and Dort have team options. If OKC doesn’t pick up their options, they can stay under the tax. If they pick up both options, they will pay more in tax next year, than the organization has paid in taxes in its total existence.
If they let IH and Dort walk, they do not have players that can match what they bring on D. Especially IH.
The CBA comes for all!

exactly, that's such an advantage that will pay off for them when playoff time rolls around. compare that to someone like mitchell who's already breaking down and it's not even january,

63% TS is ridiculous efficiency to me.
