IMO, he doesn't show the first step explosion to beat mobile power forwards at the next level. He'd would have to have an elite shot off the bounce and catch & shoot situations in order to consistently beat 4s inbthe NBA. Not to mention he's also an average passer, if that.
He scored 22 points on 70 FG% against UCLA, 27 points on 60 FG% against KU, 32 points on 65 FG% against Duke. Even in that Texas game, he scored 17 points on 14 shots, terrible by his high standards but not even that bad. In fact if Harrison Barnes scored 17 points on 14 shots, people would say he did a good job
