AB for McGee would be amazing, not likely going to happen though. Mcgee has had a great season in Denver

Re: 2012-13 Toronto Raptors Trade Idea Thread Part II
Trade Deadline Deal:
1-TOR-Ross for LAC-Bledsoe
L.A has Paul and Billups (both will likely resign). Ross has shown potential this year and he's the kind of piece they could use long-term. The Raptors, meanwhile, get a point guard they can build around.
2-TOR-Bargnani and Fields for WAS-Nene and Singleton (and a throw-in to make salaries work.
Washington does it for the capspace in two years (about 16 mill. in expiring with those two) and because Wall could use a stretch big like Bargnani. Raptors do it for a more traditional veteran big and a potential defensive stopper like Singleton off the bench.
3- TOR-Lowry and DeRozan to MIL-Ellis and Sanders
MIL is going to lose Ellis to free agency this summer. Jennings will most likely follow suit. They'll need a pointgaurd to fill the void next season. Also, DeRozan is a piece they can use long-term as it'll be difficult to sign FAs there (same issue we have).
TOR does this for the capspace that Ellis will bring and the fact we can add a solid piece in Sanders to a promising big rotation.
4-TOR- Davis, SAC 2nd Rd. Pick and Calderon to SAC-Evans and Garcia
TOR does this for Tyreke Evans, needing a wing we can build around. Garcia has a team option, so essentially expiring.
SAC does this as Evans can't play with DMC and they get an expiring in Calderon and a solid piece for the future in Davis (as opposed to getting nothing for Evans)
In the off-season, amnesty Klieza, and have an extra 15-16 mill. to spend in the off-season for a couple key pieces to add to our core and extend Evans.
Our core would consist of:
Bledsoe
Evans
Johnson
Sanders
Val
Add to that: Nene and Singelton.
If we could add a defensive stopper on the wings and some backcourt depth, we could be a long-term contender with this team.

I wish this would happen...
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=9wq92t8
DeMar, Bargs, Kleiza
For
Monta, Ilyasova and Lamb
I prefer Lowry to Jennings and although we would have small backcourt.. Lowry and Monta could be deadly together, both Offensively and defensively
Ilyasova is better than he is playing, but his contract is for five years.. Lamb is a throw in.
Then move Jose and Ross for Gay + 2014 1st
Lowry/Lucas
Monta/Lamb
Gay/Fields
Ilyasova/Ed
Jonas/Amir
Anderson
Pietrus
Acy
Gray
Scary good team

According to Sham, Illyasova's 5th year is only guaranteed for 400k. Sweet trade chip in year 4.

Not a bad deal for Toronto, but I think MIL passes. Ellis is going to walk and they'll get 11 mill. off their books. Not to mention Jennings/DeRozan is a horrible pairing in the backcourt.
Also, from TOR's point of view, Ellis will most likely not resign here. It's a big gamble to trade for him, unless we don't mind the money we save from him if he walks (though trading for Gay would go against this thought)

Jennings and DeMar are really tight, waukee fans like him too.
Ellis would likely not walk, and if BC is here he will offer him a 3 year $33 mill contract..

As "great" as he can look on highlights and "seems" more under control:
He is only given 20 minutes of playing time. Koufos gets more PT than he does ..How "great" of a season is he really having?!

If MIL would accept that deal AND if Ellis resigns, then yes - this is a GREAT deal. Especially with the Rudy Gay trade, TOR easily becomes a contender with that lineup.
*Just a thought (mentioned this in the Trade thread):
If TOR gets a top 3 pick this year:
TOR- Top 3 pick 2013 to BOS- Avery Bradley and a protected 2014 1st rd. pick
Make the deals I discussed a few posts previously, and the core moving forward would be:
Bledsoe, Bradley, Evans, Johnson, Val, and Sanders.
With the cap space, sign Belinelli and Earl Watson, resign Anderson.
2013/2014 Roster:
Bledsoe, Watson, Lucas
Bradley, Belinelli
Evans, Anderson,Singleton
Johnson, Sanders, Acy
Nene, Val

I think you need a heart transplant, you seem to have too many heartbeats.
We talk on this board of refs who make reputations calls, well some on this board make reputation based trade ideas.
Ellis is shooting 39%, 25% from 3, plays less D than DD, is four years older, lacks his work ethic (or honesty) but makes more money. Oh, and he's probably a free agent this summer.

Stop with this garbage. Who has ever accused Monta of not playing hard? What makes his work ethic worse than Demar's? Because he doesn't tweet about it?

I don't what's happened to you but you've really become a Colangelo parrott.
All you do is defend players from an awful roster that is WELL below .500 and in this trade thread your posts are a complete waste of time as all they do is criticize and offer NO solutions. Defending bad players that yield bad records just makes you look silly.

In the last 3 years....
Monta Ellis:
2011-2012 20.4ppg, 6.0apg, 3.4rpg and 1.5spg on 43%FG and 31% 3P%
2010-2011 24.1ppg, 5.6apg, 3.5rpg and 2.1spg on 45%FG and 36% 3P%
2009-2010 25.5ppg, 5.3apg, 4.0rpg and 2.2spg on 45%FG and 34% 3P%
DeMar DeRozan on the otherhand:
2011-2012 16.7ppg, 2.0apg, 3.3rpg and 0.8spg on 43%FG and 26% 3P%
2010-2011 17.2ppg, 1.8apg, 3.8rpg and 1.0spg on 46%FG and 9% 3P%
2009-2010 8.6ppg, 0.7apg, 2.9rpg and 0.6spg on 49%FG and 25% 3P%
None of your nonsensical retorts are going to be read...the proof is in the pudding. Ellis is easily the superior player and DeRozan will never put up the numbers he has "in the last 3 years" but thanks for coming out, don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Re: 2012-13 Toronto Raptors Trade Idea Thread Part II
Monta is a guy you have to make your #1 option if you acquire him. I admit I don't watch a lot of Bucks games, but I've never seen anyone shut him down. The guy is way too quick and agile to be stopped. Defensively he will struggle just because of his lack of size, but it's not like he'll be much worse than DeMar. I have a soft spot in my heart for DeMar but I've watched every one of his games since we drafted him and there's no way he's better than Ellis. Monta reminds me of a poor mans Allen Iverson, with a dash of Derrick Rose's agility. Now, don't think I'm saying he's a combo of those two, I'm just saying he has good pieces of their games. I'd love to see what our roster could do minus Bargnani, plus Ellis. All of a sudden you have a #1 scoring option to go with all of these high end complimentary pieces.

The only thing I know about Monta is that he refers to himself as Monta.
While I'm not opposed to moving DeRozan, I'd prefer to land a forward in return. Let Lowry run the point, start Anderson at the 2 and bring Ross off the bench until he's ready to start.
Besides, isn't Monta a shooting guard replica of Lowry?

Here's a crazy (yet exciting) ALL-IN idea. Throw all your chips (assets) in and go for the title. I'm drawing inspiration from theSkinny's trade ideas as well here.
1- Calderon, Ross, and SAC 2nd rd. pick for MEM- Gay and 2014 1st rd. pick
2- DeRozan, Gray and Lucas for MIL- Monta Ellis (extended)
3- Bargnani, MEM 2014 1st rd. pick for WAS- Nene
4- Valancuinas, a future protected 1st rd. pick for WAS- John Wall
5- Lowry and Kleiza for UTA- Millsap (extended)
2013/2014 Roster:
Wall
Ellis
Gay
Millsap
Nene
Bench: Fields, Anderson, Johnson, Davis, Acy, Lucas
Yes, very crazy - but very interesting and definitely a team to be excited/intrigued about...

Someone has been playing nba2k
Any 2014 1st combined with another 2014 1st is worth their weight in Wiggins .. Which on the elemental scale is 10x the value/weight of a Nene.

Re: 2012-13 Toronto Raptors Trade Idea Thread Part II
Well, I did say it was a crazy idea
But keep in mind it would be a lottery protected pick - so I should rephrase it as a FUTURE 1st.
A 2014 pick in the 20-30 range isn't very strong...however, it would only be thrown in if WAS says no to just Bargnani.
Again, it's just a fun little scenario created out of sheer boredom and curiosity It would be a fun team to watch though and I think all those deals are feasible.

No worries,
I am just pointing out that having multiple 2014 1sts is very valuable and could be what gets us wiggins.

Interesting to note from Steve Kyler's chat (Hoopsworld) that the Raptors are still very interested in Rudy Gay. wonder what kind of crazy idea BC has in mind.
I rather have Tyreke Evans than Monta Ellis by the way.
