CMIIW, but doesn't Ibaka always suck against the Bucks? I wish Nurse would've subbed him for Boucher early on. Boucher & Thomas were having good games and then Nurse just stopped playing Thomas.

Bucks are better than us. Our main weakness is no go to guy when the team goes cold. I am sure we can win a few games against the bucks in the playoffs but I just don't see us beating them in 7. Also fans should temper their expectations of Siakam, he still is very timid on offense especially against teams that can match his length.

Serge Ibaka, that was the worst performance I’ve seen from a Raptor player in a long time. Absolutely brutal from start to finish.

traded OG for what? please give me a realistic OG trade proposal that would've pushed the Raptors over the top against the Bucks...if you can't then stfu about it.

you do know that OG is 22 years old...the same age as rookie Terence Davis....and 3 years younger than Siakam & FVV

Siakam's stats at age 22 - 4.2 points / 3.4 rebounds / 0.3 assists.......50/14/69
OG's stats at age 22 - 10.2 points / 5.4 rebounds / 1.5 assists..........50/36/67

Nurse better tighten this **** up. Kawhi can't save his ass this season.

I think Nurse could have done a bit better but I think you are overreacting,

3 of McCaw's last 5 games he played less than 20 minutes and only played more than 22 minutes once in his last 8. So his minutes have been less as of late (pre flu). Of course we all want them lower.

We also played the starters more in a big game, which I don't think is unexpected. I think if TD has played better in the first half, he would have got to 20 minutes (but he struggled in the first half. and his second quarter stint was shorter than normal).

Would of liked to play Ibaka less than 28 minutes (which will solve itself once Gasol comes back), but 19 minutes is a fair # of minutes for Boucher. We are asking a lot of Boucher to play more than that in this type of game.

The thread title is disrespectful and stupid-level wrong.

Takeaways from the game:

Brook's rim protection is worthy of the DPOY.

Nevertheless, we contained Giannis by throwing OG and RHJ on him.

Now if we can add a healthy Gasol to disrupt passing lanes, I'm fairly confident we can hand them another 6 game exit in the playoffs.

Fun times ahead. But we're going to need a healthy Gasol.

OG does have trade value....the problem is his salary is 3m....so unless you're including Ibaka, FVV, or Powell in the trade you're not going to get a player that moves the needle for around 3m salary.

I remember one sequence early in the game where Playoff choker Bledsoe had the ball at the top of the key and Ibaka and a help defender were on him while he drove. It looked like he had nowhere to go but then all of a sudden Ibaka turns sideways for no reason and gives Playoff choker Bledsoe a driving lane. lol and so Playoff choker Bledsoe drives and gets a foul call on Ibaka.

That’s when I knew Ibaka was gonna have a long night. lol

A couple takes. Our best players struggled mightily. The Bucks aren't winning the title.

Lowry having such a poor game is also a surprise because he always shows up vs the bucks. Fred imo is a liability. He plays well in a limited role where you give him spot opportunities to dribble penetrate/ create his own shot and catch and shoot.

We certainly can’t expect him to play efficiently with an extended role vs good defensive teams that feature long and lanky defenders. So I really hope Siakam, Lowry and Norm can lift some of that pressure off of Fred’s shoulders come playoff time. Last year he played so well vs the bucks because he had the lane and also the space to take open shots. (To be fair to him he had a lot of those same looks last night).

Generally speaking we limited Giannis, forced the Bucks late in to the shot clock.... I’m encouraged in defending this team.

Gasol and Serge being our 5 rotation will help shore up the defense and give us more offensive diversity. Bucks would have no choice but to close out on Marc so that opens up the floor up ever more. Powell and TD can really give us a scoring punch as well which takes pressure off of Kyle and Pascal.

Overall I think at full health, this series goes to 6, 7 games

Lopez twins are a load. They are huge and outweigh Serge by 30-40. Bucks pack the paint so the pnr is harder to get off. Perhaps all of that threw off his rhythm and affected his outside shooting.

Not worried. Multiple games vs bucks in the regular will address these kinds of issue and benefit Raps more than Bucks.

Also Gasol and Norm, and maybe Lowry can keep his head up.

Had more success moving the ball and creating ways to the basket.
The bucks want us to shoot everytime.

Good game
It showed we can compete with this team but still have a long way to go.

I think in a playoff series, after the first two games (hopefully sooner) we would have TDII starting at the SG position in FVVs spot. Fred is a great player, he just doesn't match up well against the length of the Bucks.

He will have his uses elsewhere in the playoffs, and would be great coming off the bench in more favourable matchups against Milwaukee.
