If there's room for prime LeBron, Wade and Bosh to play together, then there's certainly enough room for Pascal and Scottie to play together. Stop being silly.

what are you saying? Pascal is not as skilled or talented as any of those guys. You stop being a weirdo, Pascal simply just isn't that good.

Never said they are as talented. Do you know how to read? Those guys are clearly way more talented but they managed to play on the same team together.

To say there isn't room for Pascal and Scottie to play together if those 3 were able to is just as I said, silly.

By all accounts Webster has been thecone making these calls and decisions.. kawhi trade was Webster too...

Webster is just a puppet.

the reality is that it's a team effort...Masai, Webster, Tolzman, etc...all working together...Masai gets all the credit because he will also take all the heat if things go south, that's how it works.

Webster was never called a snake for trading Demar, it was Masai who took all the heat, therefore he'll also take all the credit in the public eye.

Yeah but that being said masai was also getting the same credit when he actually was the gm... who was the president at the time masaifirst got here? Tim leiweke? No one was saying wow genius move by leiweke...

So yeah let's give Webster some credit as well... again masai took the heat for demar but it was Bobby that was wheeling and dealing... I get masai is kind of the face but I'd say Webster and his team are the ones making the negotiations and scouting and drafting players at this point. Masai is just the overseer...

Spat which was totally overblown and has been put to rest both by Nurse and Pascal.

What really "says enough" is watching Pascal on the bench every game up and cheering the team, excited. That's a guy chomping at the bit to get out there

What's he gonna do sulk as Scottie dominates? Behind close doors reveals a person.

Homeboy played for one of the best college team

McDonalds All American

and he is 20.

This is protegee. This is what its like to have true talent on your team. Guys like Siakam and Fred & OG didnt come from those environments.

Tbh a lot of 2nd rounders and future scrubs have the same pedigree... everyone in the nba at one point was the best or one of the best players on their team in high school or Europe or wherever the case may be...

You're both out to lunch.

We have too many good, versatile players…….time to get rid of one.

Should we fire Masai while we're at it for having too many good, versatile players?

I think there’s a lot of value in having Masai be the one that takes the heat and deals with media while Bobby and the rest of the front office focuses on scouting, cap management, analytics etc.

Not saying there's anything wrong with masai in his role I'm just saying everyone says masai this masai that when webster and co get no credit for actually making those decisions... like I'm hearing everyone say masai home run on scottie Barnes when it was Webster who actually made that call...

This team is very raw and has a long way before being what I would call a "lock" for the playoffs. However they are right about where I expected them to be and so is Barnes. He's scoring a bit more and more efficient than I expected but his playmaking is down a bit from where I thought it would be. I'm not surprised by him though.

I like that comparison, even though I’d hope Scottie becomes much more of a prolific scorer than prime Iguodala. But the defence and passing are excellent of course.

hes also a better rebounder right now... i guess iguodala played more of the 2 for his career though...

Nope. Crazy to do any comping 7 games into a rookie season.

crazy to comp??? guys get comped out of college... i.e scottie barnes was more athletic draymond green... etc etc... what are we talking about here... comping is how everyone gets an idea of who the player will eventually become... its how scouts decide if a player fits their system...

TRik wrote:Yes I think Scottie and PS can coexist… but when he returns someone is hitting the bench. I don’t really want PS, Barnes, or OG playing the C, so I’d like to see Precious stay.

Hard choices for sure.

Maybe GTJ comes in as a 6th man?

Good game BTW. Lol

It will tough choices for sure as GTJ is playing so great at times.

I think the rap absolutely have to explore the mega sized line up.

Fred
OG
Siakam
Barnes
Precious

Then just attack the the opposing 2 guard on repeat. Force other teams to play big. They can’t match big talent and it will pull shooter off the floor for the opposition.

That's how media and talking heads and draft websites push traffic. Scouts are more interested in measurables, like lateral quickness, standing vertical, foot speed, shot mechanics, motor, bbiq.

If prime Iguodala was as assertive offensively as Scottie, he would have had more than one allstar appearance

Prime Iggy isn't a franchise guy, great role player.
Elite one.

Not who we should aspire our 18/9 rookie to be.

He's already on pace to be better than prime Iggy in his rookie season. Iggy was a good role player. Scottie has superstar potential.

Return to Toronto Raptors
