Yep, SGA...I believe he is very interested coming home.

He is? Have there been any rumors to this?

No, but he is always posting on other players instagram about my city etc. when they play in Toronto.

Also don't think he wants to play in a small market on a rebuilding team.

With the development of Barnes and Precious
wonder what a package of OG, GTJ and a pick could net them? Is that enough for SGA?

No way in hell they take that for SGA unless he asks out and specifically asks for us. The Thunder aren’t going to go anywhere with Trent and OG. We’d have to sell our soul in picks for them to even budge

agreed, he would have to force his way out. But if that happens, that asking price is going way down.

Yeah it would have to involve multiple 1sts....
Nice to dream though.

If combining 2 of Vanvleet, Trent or OG can land a major upgrade then I'd be down. Hard to find those opportunities though.

I do like Brooks a lot. He's an excellent starter/rotation piece, elite defender, local, young and could be re-signed at a very reasonable longterm deal. That combined with a high pick would be tempting.

If we could turn Trent + 32nd pick + 2023 FRP into Brooks & Shaedon Sharpe that's a nice mix of talent and potential.

Vanvleet - Banton
Brooks - Sharpe
Anunoby - Young
Barnes - Boucher
Siakam - Achiuwa

There are always opportunities. Franchise players are switching teams every season.
Also are you talking about Armoni Brooks? I mean I guess. We need somebody.
Edit: you meant Dillon brooks. My fault

yeah Dillon Brooks. Feels like a Raptors type of player. He'd be a great fit in Toronto in my opinion.

When dreaming one should dream bigger.

Fred Vanvleet + OG Anunoby + Trent Jr. + 4x FRP for Giannis Antetokounmpo + George Hill

Regarding the unspectacular filling out the team around the edges via free agency.
I really like Bruce Brown from the Nets who is a UFA this summer, but I fear his last ten games may make him much less of an off the radar bargain this summer.

So a young 23 year old rim protecting centre that we desperately need who is averaging 17 and 10 wouldn't be enough for Pascal?
Everyone knows centre's take longer to develop and he is only going to get better. He fits the timeline with our younger players as well.

Should draw serious interest assuming at the time og and Trent playing well, but teams don't usually part with superstars.... something bold like this is needed though ... alternatively you could hope to draft such a player?

Would any top 3 or 4 lottery team be willing to trade their frp for such assets?

Pascal is a near superstar. Ayton will never, ever be that.

Jeebus, we just beat the Sixers with Precious and Birch and without OG. Pascal has played at least even with Embiid in their last two games against each other. Why on earth would you give up Pascal for a sub-Embiid, sub-Jokic level C?

For me this is a huge overpayment. Tren Jr + Picks or Anunoby + Picks. But I would prefer Trent going out.

It's not an overpay because both OG and Trent are a tier below SGA right now. And OKC has enough picks.

But also I'm not in the camp that it has to involve Barnes. I think Trent and OG can get it done as a package.

i think we can pick up Omer Yurtseven, he is proven to be a reliable big man when Adebayo was out. For the 11 games that he started, he average 12.5pts/12.9 rebound and 2.6 asts. He is a strong 7 footer who has decent quickness...would love to have him starting for us

The Heat have several bench players we could use or sign. But Omer has a contract for next year as does Strus and Vincent so we'd have to trade for him. I like the idea signing Caleb Martin for our bench.

He's got a contract for next year, and I imagine Miami might be leery of trading with the Raptors for a bit. Also, after another summer of Raptors development, I think Achiuwa is our starting 5 next year.

Zach Lavine sign and trade for GTJ after Bulls get bounced in the first round
