This is how TOR is going to win. Bust their ass on defense and run. BI / IQ top options in the half court. Scottie/RJ scoring when they can on their drives.

It's very valuable, but he's gotta score man. Ain't nobody getting paid 40 mill per for hockey assists. One thing that is immediately clear is that CMB has a way better first step than Scottie.

I absolutely agree that he has to score. I just think two things are happening in this game regarding Barnes.

-Barnes is not really included in the offence at all, by design
-Barnes’ attempts have mostly come when his teammates have handed him a grenade and he hasn’t done well trying to create off broken plays

I think that's fair. Also he creates easy looks for everyone else, but he doesn't have anyone who creates easy looks for him.

Barnes has no fit in this offense when you have an actual go to guy.

the knicks had it right from the jump. he's a 2 guard, not a lead guard. but he has value on this team, especially with RJ/Ingram being able to be on-ball playmakers.

the real worry is if he can hold up defensively.

Okay now that we’re trying to win RJ’s free throws are going to really piss me off. But we play so much better offensively when he’s out there.
