Houston is the team that is going to be coming in hot and heavy to Bosh and BC. Who knows, maybe there have already been talks. It makes too much sense for Bosh to go back to Texas to play next to Yao for the storied Rockets franchise. The Rockets don't have great pieces but they have enough to get the deal done if that's where CB4 wants to go (and why wouldn't he?).

Seems like a lot of crap for Bosh but it actually clears a lot of cap space heading into the new CBA, which is what BC has to be targeting by now. Come out of the seemingly inevitable lockout with cap space and a crapload of developing players and hopefully an amnestied Hedo with a new coach and guns blazing.

My main issue with this deal is that it would likely result in Amir being let go. Still, we really have to look at long term financial planning here and I'm seeing nothing but bigs in our draft range either.

In the draft, go full out on potential - size and athleticism. Right now my picks are Whiteside (we NEED an athletic beast center next to AB so you've got to role the dice with one of these picks) and this Paul George kid (our athletic 3) but really I think we should grab the best big that falls to our first pick, and the BPA at our second.

If a sign+trade Bosh deal to Houston goes through and we do end up getting Battier (which I doubt would happen) - I'd keep him around until the deadline and then deal him to a contender for some picks. We won't be in the playoffs next year anyways, so, might as well get something for him before he expires.

Toronto can re-team Lewis and Turk with a low post center. I think Gortat can be an effective low post player given the minutes. You can either play Lewis at the four or play Bargnani at the four with Lewis off the bench. Or if you want to go big Have Gortat, Bargnani, Lewis, Turk, and Jack. Could be very effective.

That wouldn't be a dealbreaker imo. If they want Bosh and get him together with Paul, West has to be traded next for a center or a shooting guard. Nothing they can't fix.

Bynum is injury prone but at least we get something and Bosh is not going a S&T to a crappy team.

Oden is injury prone as well but he will come off the books if he dosen't recover, and once again Bosh would go there.


Toronto needs a C and thats all there is too it.


Bargnani would look nice next to Bynum or Oden.


now we will have to deal with the hedo, calderon, jack problem also but would end up with something like. If DeRozan is the biting piece for someone to take Hedo you use it. I think someone will take Calderon. Maybe even LA woulds with Bosh. Trade the 12th pick with money and even whatever someone wants to move up and get Wesley Johnson.

I like that Bargs trade idea with Okafor and Harris coming back...NO would do that for sure I think, I don't know if NJ would want to throw in Williams though. But it's reasonable.

I also like the Bosh/Gobbler for Okafor/Peja/Collison idea..I was thinking just Bosh for Oka and Collison but getting rid of Gobbler would be great. But if NO refuses to take Hedo I would still do Bosh for Okafor/Collison/filler.

There are a lot of ideas out there involving getting multiple picks/young players, but this deal would give us a good young starting PG, a hard position to fill in this league.

Bosh is going to pick where he wants to go, and most likely it will be a large market. The Raptors will have no choice in that.

I imagine the Hornets would be interested in dumping Okafor's contract. Okafor did not fit in N.O. - much like Shaq did not fit in Phoenix. Okafor is the anti-Bosh/anti-Bargnani in that he is not afraid of the paint! He'll take all of the pressure off Bargnani in terms of defense, and give the Raptors something they have not had since AD, Oakley, Willis - a big body in the paint!

I would try and package Calderon's contract with Bosh, if possible.
