Who wants to be the hero and leak the mock draft order?

29. Toronto Raptors

Theo Maledon
ASVEL
G
Age: 19.4

Maledon started the year projected much higher, but a somewhat disappointing season combined with the glut of point guards could cause him to drop to the latter part of the first round. He brings versatility, unselfishness and a strong feel for the game, with considerable experience at the highest levels of European basketball.

Has Tyrell Terry going next at 30 and Nnaji going right before us at 28

And so commence the crazy rumors that have us connected to anyone with a face or name!

EDIT: I would be totally okay with Nwora.

That would be amazing if it worked out that way to have a choice between the two, don't see it happening but would be incredible.

Again I'd love to flip Norm and also draft McDaniels and that would just be a perfect draft for me. Not hung up on at anyone at 59 but Knight and Nwora seem solid. Personally would love to get Hinton but don't see him tumbling to the end of the draft.

They have McDaniels going at 27 so not too far off

Also got us taking Nate Hinton at 59

Hating on projected picks is just weird to me. We don't have the resources to evaluate talent but we have strong opinions regarding players? Something is off.

They may have more picks than roster spots, which in terms they might draft Europe prospects and stash them.

Ok I fully predict a guard at 29.

Maledon
Flynn
Bane
Pritchard

If we go big:

Tillman
Stewart
Nnaji (hopefully Wesson)

So one thing we know for sure: we aren't drafting Jordan Nwora.

Also Nesmith seems to be dropping on a few mock boards. Not down to us but you never know...

I like Utah's thinking. If we can get an early second for moving back 4 spots I'd do it.

To Kings: pick 29
To Toronto: picks 35 and 43

35) Tillman
43) Pritchard
59) Eboua/Diakite

Nwora is more polished than some of the prospects in the draft. Older prospect. Very good shooter, decent handles, good defense.

I wouldnt be mad if we drafted him.

I'd be behind this pick. This guy is of Nigerian heritage, comes from Buffalo and grew up a Raptors fan. Add to the fact he is a big wing who shoots 40% from three, he is a easy player to fit into the rotation. The major red flag is lateral quicks, finishing ability and overall defense. He was not great last year, but he was using most of energy on offense. My NBA comp for him is Cam Johnson who is the same size size but many people will also think of Duncan Robinson as a comp.

I wonder if he is quicker than Thomas, but Thomas is smart (defensive basketball IQ) and a willing defender. I cannot say too much about Nwora on his defense, as the biggest question is his defensive IQ, particularly if he knows when to switch and how to play a zone.

Still if we cannot play Thomas the majority of time, I wonder if we are giving him minutes as compare to other 3+D.

Ya, you could do worse than a big talented SF who's decent on both ends at pick 29. He's got a high floor

Jordan Nwora is terrible value at 29. Bet on upside. Always.

If you want, trade back in to the draft and acquire 2 seconds if you really want Nwora.

Draft day is here! Finally, we can see who we pick. Can't wait for the board overreactions to our pick. Can I get an over/under on the number of references to Caboclo?

Coulda said the same thing about Siakam. If the Raptors love the guy, why would they gamble that the next pick isn't going to draft him? Trade down is risky. Hasn't worked well for the Leafs IMO.
