see i didn't even know until this crisis that canada/us didn't make their own hospital consumables like masks, gowns, syringes, iv bags etc.

someone even told me the guy from that joe rogan podcast was saying we don't even make our own ventilators in this continent, all come from china. we got the brains in this country to at least make our own med supplies.

That was extremely informative. Thanks for sharing!

Once this virus is under control, hope china gets the backlash they so deservedly need. I cant see this being treated as a slap on the wrist from all these impacted nations.

Which proves Taiwan's stance even more.

They brought it to WHO's attention in December when Taiwan's own CDC investigated the virus itself in China. Obviously fell on deaf ears. By the time WHO finally woke up and called this a pandemic, it was already too late for Italy and USA.

Maybe it's me but perhaps we should pay attention on how a small Island of 24 million is managing to win its battle against the virus.

IMO they made a huge mistake by telling the world that: “young people weren’t really impacted by the virus”

It’s made these kids even more arrogant

Just realized that Trudeau's "travel ban" that was announced like a weak ago doesn't actually go into effect until tomorrow supposedly. There were tons of flights from all over the world still coming into Canada. Oh great. And the fact the country ISN'T in enforced lockdown like Quebec is crazy. We will end up like Italy in about a week.

We're at 424 cases now. When did Wuhan go into full lockdown? 400 or 500?

On top of that, Ontario is basing its decisions on their current case data - which we're 5-7 days behind. Current backlog is sitting at over 8000...........

Some old dude went right behind me in the grocery line while I was clearly maintaining distance people in front of me. People just don’t get it
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars

Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

You’re right ....

I had to go to the bank on Saturday and the manager was shouting at people to keep their distance.

One lady said “I’m not gonna let some bank manager tell me where to stand”

These idiots really don’t get it

Avoiding crowds by going at less peak hours (go extremely early on weekends or at late evenings). Also taking advantage of our local ethnic grocery stores

Thank god somebody agrees with me. This country is so soft.

And it’s not even against the law if these travellers break quarantine ffs.

I was at a store yesterday and a man I'd guess was late 50s got upset that the olives at the olive bulk area were all packed up ready to go. A lady working behind the deli/meat area said sorry but we can't have them open and exposed. I was looking for cheese nearby. I noticed the man open the olives and mix and match them to get what he wanted. I then heard a loud cough. I'm pretty sure he coughed directly on the area and potentially onto olives. So yeah, no bulk for me the next while.

I'm also thinking I won't collect points. At a Shoppers the lady working cashier grabbed it with those dirty looking gloves on. Proceeded to wipe it multiple times on the scanner because it wasn't reading the card. Then handed it back. Yuck.

Sigh...

This will go on for a long time without enforcing it. People are either too stupid or just dont give a **** to do what is best for everyone else. It's really sad to be honest. We are here arguing about what is best , but it really doesn't matter if no one cares to carry through with it.

My brother got calls from a couple friends asking what he was doing this weekend.
His answer was absolutely nothing.
Although the initial plan (pre covid19) was to go kayaking which could fall under social distancing guidelines.
The alcoholics are one of the bigger threats to spread covid-19 as they already tend to feel invincible.
