I really like Lowry.
Siakam is not Lowry, he's not even in the same galaxy.

Pascal is going to go down as one of the worst contracts in sports history.

This isn't a mentally tough and smart player who had a bad series and bounces back. This signing is going to haunt us for years.

I mean he did score 30 points on Draymond Green in Game 1 in the Finals, and hit the shot that sealed the Raptors championship. It was just so disappointing to hear that he didn't touch a basketball in 3 months, when he said the longest break hes ever had prior was 2 weeks.

We were literally a basket or two in game 7 away from likely making the finals this year. I would say that means we're very close to contending - in fact, we just contended pretty damn well.

breh, that's in the past. next year is a completely different animal. boston will only get better, nets will be a problem. heat will get better. meanwhile, we look like the pre-kawhi raptors. regular season champs but not good enough in the playoffs.

it's literally gonna be the same story every year till masai gets us a real star again

True, as things stand now we'll probably take a step back next year. Although I'm expecting organic improvement from OG and TD, that will probably be offset by a decline - however slight - in Lowry's play, and our centre rotation likely won't be as good. We'll still be a middle of the pack playoff team, though.

However, let's not write off Masai and Webster. Maybe they can add a key piece or two. The only Eastern teams that scare me next year - as of now - are New Jersey and Boston. I wouldn't expect Masai to blow it up and rebuild - that's not his style. He believes winning basketball begets winning basketball, and I think he's right.

Hope you realize that MIA made it to the ECF on Jimmy’s first attempt AND they relying on a bunch of rookies. With additional year of experience, they will be balling. Same applies to Boston.

It’s gonna be CELTICS, HEAT, NETS, BUCKS... everyone else (RAPTORS, PACERS)

That deal is gone.

It's now straight up which I'd also do at this point.

I'll forever be thankful for last year's Pascal but I don't ever want to see him in a raptor uniform again.

Good season! Proud of the way the champs handled themselves without Kawhi.

Siakam played bad but also played in a pandemic. So we could be entertained. Give him a break.

You guys are overreacting way too much. First year as a number one option. Good experience. Rome wasn’t built in a day.

I'm so pissed off at Nick Nurse this series could've have been salvageable if had the BALLS to
bench Siakam. Instead he let Siakam and the team die. Siakam has to take all the slander and
he's probably pissed off Serge Ibaka on a contract year. Ibaka got totally **** in this.

FFS we still have guys crying over DD after winning a championship I guarantee this Siakam whining will stop

most Raptors fans don't take the regular season seriously anymore after what we've been through (I don't)....Siakam could look great next season and people will just say "lets see if he can do this in the playoffs"

They have short memories. I see people say DD brought us to the ECF

Raps fans absolutely do not only take into consideration playoffs, they're just mad right now
you guys still judging Raptor players on the regular season ? Come on now. Even if he kills it in the regular season I’m not taking him seriously! What did Lebron say ? Legacies are made in the playoffs. People keep forgetting pascal struggled in the playoffs last season too. It was masked by kawhi and the fact we were winning games so it wasn’t a talking point.

    And we had threads here comparing him to Tatum. Jesus christ. Pitiful performance. People playing on one leg have more of an impact.

On the flip side, that's still playoff DeMar with better defence

Really isn't. If we had Derozan instead I think we'd have won. We could hide him on defense. Spurs Derozan really isnt the same as he was on the Raptors.

Siakams 5 turnovers killed us tonight

I'd take Tobias Harris for him.

Masai is also going to need a eventual successor to Lowry at PG, too.

Lowry wasn’t himself this game. There were times he should have taken the ball and takeover the game. Looked tired and took silly fouls.

No but it was destroyed in one off-season and one playoff round.

If they wanna pay me a cool mil I'd go play there too. I think I could at least average 15% from 3 as well.

Pascal was a post up beast last season. Hoping he works on that again.

3 guys on one side of the court with Ibaka setting a weak screen and FVV shooting a 30 footer 3 over Grant Williams, that was terrible execution and very disorganized to try to tie the ball game. Don’t understand why wasn’t a timeout called to draw up a play?

Lol, would you have played in a pandemic? Lay off pascal ball boys. So many ungrateful effs on here. Thankfully the riff raff bandwagon will clear out
