Really excited by the Baynes pickup. He should be a great fit. Hopefully we give Boucher significant minutes as well. I think he's poised for a solid season if given the opportunity.

You're a brave man to say anything good about McCaw in this part of town.

I like him as well and am expecting him to be the 2nd guy off the bench. His defence is really solid.

no it doesn't.
I'm not the biggest Serge fan but I can understand. He came out big in our championship run when we were absolutely starving for buckets. He was also a good vocal leader and professional veteran the past couple of seasons.
...also that cooking show was entertaining. Caught my wife's attention.

**** this doesn't sound good. Is this why there's a hold up with Masai's and Bobby's extension?
TORONTO -- Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment says it is cutting the salaries of up to one quarter of its full-time staff, and extending salary reductions for senior management and executives to deal with the financial impact of COVID-19.
The company that owns Toronto professional sports teams including the Maple Leafs, the Raptors and the Argonauts as well as sports venues, says up to 25 per cent of full-time staff will be moved to temporary inactive status.
Extended management and executive salary reductions will be effective Jan. 1.

These sorts of cuts are normally reimbursed later.

Yeah I went back and watched some of last year’s games without being emotionally invested and I saw just how much McCaw does on defence and realized he’s very good at cutting off the paint as a help defender, closes out well, gets deflections and is good at chasing even when he gets beat. If he could do anything on offence he’d be a plus player.

Yeah. That's basically the assessment I had of him but everybody around here seemed to hate him.
He is long and has solid mobility. He is active getting his hands on the ball. His rotations are good and is pretty good closing out on shooters. He's obviously not in the same tier as OG or Siakam but he was overall a reliable backup wing defender.
His offensive skills are terrible for NBA wing/guard standards but I like that he at least understands his limitations and works within them. I really hope he has improved his ball handling and 3 point shooting.
