His bully ball is a huge dynamic for this team, especially since he can make free throws now

Maple DeMar with better 3 and D!
He's done great in these last 4 games. If he does 80% of what he did tonight consistently, we have an elite scoring star.

RJ and IQ instead of Schroder and OG gives us a better combination of ball handlers, movement shooting, and passing. Barrett sees the floor better than OG and he can draw fouls a lot better than OG too. This was a winning trade from both sides.

I'm not sure if it's the difference in there handles, first step, or there aggressiveness/motor, but I wish Scottie drove as much as RJ.

Let's not get too excited, one thing we know with him is he is streaky, his highs are very high but his lows are very lows. Let's enjoy the performance and win, but not expect this kind of stat line (or even 50% of this) every night.

OG is probably the most overrated player in the league, said it while he was here too.

Knicks fans are going crazy over his +80something since they got og. He's doing what they need him to do.

They're about to pay a guy who can't beat his one on one defender a near max contract
Come playoff time they'll need a scoring wing. And when OG can't provide that, they'll turn on him.

It's refreshing to have someone that can do bully ball, we got too many guys on our team that are not natural scorers, can't shoot, and can't drive. Lot of forcing the action and than it's a turnover.

Re: Official RJ Barrett Thread
OG was always gonna be a role player.. Some people came on here saying he's a superstar cause of his "elite defense" LOL Paying him 40 million would have NUKED our already terrible depth and RJ is like a BULL going to the rim which is something we needed bad.

Disagree, he's an above average shooter. I think of prime Klay as an elite 3 and D guy.

This exactly, there's a big sample size for RJ on the Knicks. Let's hope he is at least consistent and not expect "Star J" every night LOL

It is there's nothing to not be sure about.

The one step short tendency is the same thing I keep saying about Barnes. Barrett has much better footwork though. But Barnes definitely needs go get in deeper instead of just doing his usual 1 2 step and then taking off way too far only go force up an out of control contested layup
