Try the Pels feed for comparison. Its homerism mixed with Wayne and Garth.

While Drake is on his one year holiday, can we have Wayne and Garyh?

Rj has zero mid range game. If it's not a three or right at the rim, he's lost.

I have said MANY a time I hope we get a good pick. I said today Tak and Ochai should sit out.

But I am not going to pout like a child because they didn't do so and because the Raps are actually playing well....despite not having a real #1 scoring option.

So you have no argument against that is all you’re saying lol

You tried to compare this to how we arrived at our championship squad and failed to realize how completely irrelevant it actually is to this moment being that “costs” are SUBSTANTIALLY HIGHER and therefore not realistic (period).
Lets pretend we added OG to the trade + another pick. No problem.

Thats a star player. Two highly thought of prospects. And 2 1st round picks. Add some 2nda if you want. Sounds about right for a star player with huge question marks around his health at that time. Maybe even an overpay in todays market. But hey. Like you said. Yesterdays price isnt todays price right?

Guess what? Still winning a championship :)

Still need to put ourselves in position to accumulate some pieces and why not? Why couldn't we be deep enough to put ourselves in position to capitalize on opportunities? It's a weird argument that tries to minimize the title run and core.

And even if you believe in this core, we all know they need a legit #1 scorer from the outside...a younger C who ideally can hit 3's, ideally a young OG for defense with the starters.

And we know that is going to take time to try and get. We are not saying to go all in next year...lol. We are years away...regardless where our pick falls this summer.

Yay you tried lol that’s one player (who btw wouldn’t be a certainty that we win the trade as there is/will be multiple teams competing for a top 2/3 player in the league like Kawhi was) and now where are all the assets for all the other players?!?

And it has nothing to do with “minimizing” the title run, don’t be stupid. It’s what I’ve been stating, yesterday’s price is not today’s. So we can’t simply just “follow the path” from the past. The present has very different looking roads to acquire championship level talent.

What’s more ridiculous is posters like you really believe that we’re somehow gonna have another complete MIRACLE trade for a player like Kawhi who was in argument for the best player in the league, like we’re just destined to win the biggest trade in the league and no other team will outbid us. When it’s literally impossible that we’ll be able to execute a trade anywhere near the highway robbery that was lol

Yesterday’s price is NOT today’s price lol that’s the delusion you haven’t realized yet.

You’re not getting players like Kawhi, Danny, Gasol & Ibaka while still keeping all of Lowry, Pascal, Fred, OG etc. Packages for good players now require MULTIPLE picks and good depth. It’s hilarious some of you are so jaded that you actually think that’s still viable route.

That miracle trade could only work cause:

- over the course of 6 years the raps played better and better
- found and developed players which later contributed to the chip
- instilled in them the right winning culture
- many playoff experiences before the chip
- when it was apparant that demar and kyle lack a little bit, Masai pulled the miracle
- after that he still traded for gasol to make the team better

All of that happened before and after the miracle. So stop pretending it was just Kwahi. Raps did an excellent job building this team to win. After that they tried with a new core around FVV, Siakam and OG. But they simply never grew in what we hoped for.
Now they are trying with Barnes and apparently Dick and see who else fits the ride.

And if you dont think thats a viable road, damn Boston wants a word with you. Most of their core players have been traded for or signed as free agents. Brown and Tatum are the only piece that they drafted themselves, which they have developed themselves. And Boston had exactly 1 bad season of the course of nearly 10 years.

That’s all meaningless blab…

You tell me what would be the going price for a player at the level each of Kawhi, Gasol, Serge and Danny would be.

Don’t just talk out your backside, name what you think would be realistic trade packages, I’ll wait.

You can’t just blindly say things…teams pay FAR more and trade packages are far more crippling today than then, to think otherwise is again pure homer level delusion.

Actually teams are getting hesitant with the new CBA. Also the spending you have mentioned, crippled many teams flexibility. Why do you think Heat and suns need two other teams to facilitate said trade. Why do you think Masai has troubles selling our players.
Cause teams dont want to overpay anymore, especially not for roleplayers.

Is that why he can't shoot FTs. They're midrange shots?

Scottie's weakness is the lack of discipline at times.

Whenever he struggles from deep, he just starts chucking up more 3s.

That's like when your stock goes down, and you keep buying the dip, and it keeps dipping.

If Bruce is only gonna net you a second round pick, just re-sign the guy. He wants to be here.

I meant the title core and the core before the trade. But yeah It was necessary to keep building our asset pile to put ourselves in a position to capitalize on something. And lots of failure. Something that never would have happened with his way of thinking.

If he had a mid-range game, he'd be putting up superstar numbers. 22ppg without a middy is awfully impressive.
