ya, that Grant contract is going to be almost impossible to move, especially with him coming off a season where he shot 37% from the field.
Still has 3 more years. 32M this coming season, then 34M, then a 36M player option which he will most certainly pick-up.
it's only 1 more year than RJ if grant picks up his PO. he's a really good 3 point shooter and we need that from the front court. and would probably get much better looks under darko's offense.
i would make the deal, even if it's just rj for grant.
with that said, grant makes $5 mil more/year so we'd have to add a player to offset the salary for our tax purposes or we'd need some draft compensation - even if it's a few 2nds.
Grant is 31 and just put up a 52 TS% season. He's played 54, 47, 63, 54 and 47 games the last 5 seasons. There is a very good chance he's just washed now with the combination of age and injuries catching up to him. There is zero chance Masai has interest in adding him to our roster.
