a lot of players are picking it up and its looking like a deep draft, you can get a good prospect at around 20

Like just going based off tankathons mock and see this Keaton Wagler kid at 22 and there's no way he not a lottery pick by June
Lol not even a month ago I made this statement and he drops 46 yesterday. Now Sam Vecenie is talking about his belonging in the top 10.

Why not #6 pick? I guess his draft ceiling is #4 slipping ahead of Caleb Wilson and Kingston Flemings.
So Dybansta, Flemings and Wagler all went off for 40+ last night.
Washington - Dybansta
Atlanta - Peterson
Indiana - Boozer
Sacramento - Flemings
Brooklyn - Wagler
Utah - Wilson
I guess after the top 6, you have Philon, Acuff, Mikel Brown, Carr, etc

Seems like a poor man's Scottie Barnes? I think he's probably on par with Thomas Haugh as a prospect, though older and heavier.

Re: 2026 NBA Draft Prospects
This freshman class is actually insane. 6 of the prospects in this class are having top 15 freshman seasons by BPM since 2008 (the furthest year back Barttorvik goes).
1) Cam Boozer 18.7
2) Zion Williamson 18.7
3) Anthony Davis 16.6
4) Cooper Flagg 14.9
5) Michael Beasley 14.9
6) Kevin Love 14.6
7) Darryn Peterson 14.2
8) Chet Holmgren 14.1
9) Kingston Flemings 14.1
10) Caleb Wilson 13.1
11) Karl-Anthony Towns 13
12) Evan Mobley 12.6
13) Keaton Wagler 11.7
14) James Harden 11.5
15) AJ Dybantsa 11.4
3 of these 6 freshmen (Boozer at 7.4, Wagler at 6.7, and Dybantsa at 5.9), are also having top 15 freshman seasons by PRPG (Points Over Replacement Per Adjusted Game At That Usage) since 2008. Not only that, Boozer is also the #1 freshman ever by PRPG (Trae and Zion round out the top 3), and Cooper Flagg's PRPG by comparison was exactly 6 (also part of the top 15 since 2008 so no disrespect to him there).
There's a pretty good chance this draft ends up getting looked back on as a special one, propelled by this all time great freshman class, headed by Cam Boozer, an absolute monstar of a prospect.

his big forward size combined with great point guard skills and high assist numbers, along with a solid 3 pointer and good FT% shows shooting potential...he kinda has a ben simmons and scottie barnes type game and is kinda intriguing

Boozer, is probably the best choice for #1. Better playmaking Banchero as a floor. Less athletic Lebron as a ceiling?

Re: 2026 NBA Draft Prospects
Unless Steinbach falls all I'd want is for us to come out with an upgrade at guard. There's just way better talent relative to their position versus the centers. I wouldn't draft based on biggest need because we might be able to grab a DAMN good guard (be it PG or SG).
I think there's a chance on Philon or Wagler could fall to us but I'd still LOVE to draft Carr in particular, if not I think Stirtz could be a damn solid PG or if we want to find another bucket getter Christian Anderson could be a decent option. Personally I'm not on the Aciuff train, I think he could end up a solid guard but he's still kinda small, not particularly athletic, his bball IQ should help him to not be a complete bust but I don't think his that potential is that high imo.
Failing a talented guard, I'd possibly look to develop one of Cenac or Neo but overall we need to fight to keep this pick because we could add a VERY good, young prospect. I could see us adding another player of the talent level of OG or possibly Siakam in the 20s like they were. If we do trade a 1st it needs to be a future one.

I do like Veesaar but I get it that can use the 2 late 2nd rounders to pick up Zvonimir, Tomislav, Krivas, Condon or Grunloh.

Hypothetical: We KNOW that Cam Boozer ends up as a slightly better Banchero, same strengths, same limitations. Do you take him first overall over AJ and Peterson? Or do you take a chance on one of two guys who look like possible superstar wings?
If I'm drafting Boozer first overall in this draft I want better than a slightly better Banchero. I haven't followed that closely. From the game I saw of Boozer he seemed like a closer to the basket kind of player than Banchero. Does he take bad long distance shots like Banchero? Is his defence lacking similar to Banchero?

An underrated dribble-pass-shoot forward who probably should stay in college for one more year because this draft is so deep. He reminds me of Naji Marshall with a better shot.

My current preference list for our pick remains largely the same:
Cameron Carr
Darius Acuff
Keaton Wagler
Henri Veesaar
Yaxel Lendeborg
Would be ok with:
Keyshawn Hall
Tyler Tanner
Brayden Burries
Karim Lopez

If you're picking him first overall, I'm not sure if you're getting a go to scorer. Maybe some type of cross between Banchero and Sengun?
This is why I like the hypothetical. I would still want to draft one of the wings, even if I knew we were getting a slightly better version of Banchero. So what do people who like Boozer at this point, actually think he will be translating to the NBA?
For me the defense is going to be a big question. Is he more Banchero or can he be an impact guy on D? It's early still, there is alot of time left of evaluating these guys.
I just think it's very interesting. Boozers almost unmatched college production vs. The two most hyped wing prospects since KD.

^^Peterson is the player we need. Boozer would have to show Center skills and defensive potential to surpass what DP seems to represent for this team imho.

I don't think he will have quite the athleticism of Scottie, but he could also be a Luka type. Sometimes comparables aren't very good for outliers. Personally I hate comparables for statistical outliers. What was Sengun's comparable? What was Curry's? Doncic's? Bet on the outlier becoming their own new type of player.

So, Peterson first?
