LOL at all the armchair shot doctors in here. Steve Kerr had an insanely wide base on his jumper. Klay Thompson sets up wide. Bosh did it. Wasn't an issue for them.

It is. His lower base is horrible for consistent NBA shooting from range. He’s got alot of work to do.

Why?

You want a continuous flow of energy from the feet up into your final release of the ball, his wide stance isn’t necessarily the biggest issue but it’s more so that it’s his wide stance + hes shooting with his upper half rather than letting it all be in one motion.

he will have to play the 5 on defense most nights, cause simple fact that not many on our bench can defend 5s better...nba centers are around 220 on low end to around 260 a few are more so at 240 hes around avg center weight, and as mentioned by our front office and players, hes a dam strong kid that is built like an ox...hes gonna be a beast on D defending 1 through 5 since day one

Man hasn't even played a NBA minute yet. While getting criticism from people in their mom's basement. I got high hopes for the rook. He's going to surprise people.

Ya...that package of smarts, that wide build and strong frame can guard anyone on the floor. If Scottie gave Jokic issues on D...I see CMB being able to guard big guys and possibly make it hard for the Joker.

Where are Steve Kerr and Chris Bosh now? Clearly not good enough shooters to still play in the modern NBA.

I think we are getting ahead of ourselves with the CMB hype. The guy hasn't even played an NBA preseason game yet.

If he and Barnes were to ever be starters together, the team would need a starting quality floor spacing big.

The fit is bad for sure. And he’s gonna get blocked a lot until he figures out the NBA game inside and how to translate his style at this level. But someday I’m confident he figures it out.
