I hate how Mozgov acts like he's the biggest superstar ever in these national games...

Anyone have link to boxscore? I think Jonas has 6 pts, 3 rbs and 1 blk after 1st quarter.

That was a nice play right there by Lithuania to end the first quarter

That pass to the corner is just classic, he always does it.

Cheers to TZ

Wow, i had read about Javotokas injury but not about his replacement.
Kavaliauskas? seriously? I'd rather have Lavrinovic in a wheelchair.

Re: Jonas Valanciunas Summer Discussion II (Val signs, Pg. 1
Does anyone feel like Jonas has lost some of leaping ability compared to his time with Lietuvos Rytas this season? After looking at various highlight clips and comparing his play to the previous game vs Dominican Republic and now this game, he seems to be missing that semblance of vertical he once had.
Can it just be down to fatigue? Or something else? I don't want to be too negative, but I am a bit concerned that it'll be a problem in the long run.

Jonas with his 2nd foul. I doubt he'll be back this quarter.

He's been playing basketball for 2 years straight with rarely any rest.

He's playing 2 years straight, can't expect he's gonna give 100% everytime, you can see he's tired.

Cheers to TZ

Number 21 can't defend at all. Terrible player.

LTU frontcourt(especially center) depth is terrible now. Everything is on Val's shoulders now.

I figured as much, just wanted to see what others thought. I am still concerned that this overworking the past two years will have a larger impact going forward, but maybe I'm just being paranoid...

Im sure BC has told him to relax for at least a couple of weeks after the olympics

Is that rumour about Donut demanding minutes been verified? They could use him right now.

Most definitely. For Lithuania to have any chance Jonas has to stay out of foul trouble.

Can they still get rid of Kavaliauskas? I think anyone would be better than him
