If i see one more player overhelp or even help at all for the matter im gonna lose my mind. Why doesn't casey get the balls and be like listen up buddy.. you get lost on your assignment and beat by your man then its on you.. no1 is helping you and you are riding the bench when it becomes an issue.. that is internal competition.. thats how you light a fire under guys asses.. you wana play then keep your damn man in front of you.. if you are a big in the post.. well lean on the guy pressure him play solid defence one on one.. no1 helps no1 moves unless you are defending the screens or have to switch.

We made run when JV was on the bench, as soon as he comes in Portland makes run and we are down by 8 .... JV is handicaps this team at the defensive end, remove him and they play much better D. Lowry has always been solid defender, everybody was on Ross bandwagon as elite defender last year ...

Our defense doesn't look so great against a team that isn't consisting of d league call ups and a mix of guys who don't know each other. Really, how many of you thought our defense was magically fixed after the Miami game?

Yeah, our defence really shut down Miami that night, it's not at all that Miami played like absolute trash and couldn't hit the broad side of a barn.

I actually think this would work with some of our guys. They've proven they CAN defend, but won't.

miami can't hit 3s.. and the blazers can. biggest difference. our double team rotations are way too slow and out of control.. either they're taking uncontested 3s or blowing by

That might work in grade 9 basketball. But good idea I'll tell casey were not gonna play help defense if Lebron beats ya 1v1. And screw doubling Dwight Howard in the post! Jonas can yell in Lithuanian to distract him from the wide open dunk.

How is the Blazers shooting basicaly 50% from 3 JV's fault? Really? It's not even on drive and kicks. They are just setting up and passing around the perimeter to the first open guy. Even if it was on drive and kicks, that is the guards faults for not stopping their man at the point of attack.

What does that have to do with our guards' ability to keep their man in front of them? There is more than 1 factor to a run bro. Do you seriously just look at that one thing and stop evaluating why the run happened because you think you've found the answer?
