I've gotta think that to any PF interested in winning, we're the best possible scenario. Of course, I understand that with lower taxes across the border many would prefer to not come to Toronto. Still, if anyone seriously likes to win this is the place to be as far as lotto teams go. Boston is the other.

*12 of the 30 picks in the first round will be owned by four teams... Boston, Philadelphia, Denver, and Phoenix... Make it 13 if the Lakers slide out of the Top 3 and their pick goes to Philly... If you add the Raptors multi-picks in to the equation that's half of the 1st round being dominated by only five teams... Pretty ridiculous when you think of it. There's 11 (possibly 12) teams with a 2nd Rd pick or less in this years draft.

And that's why draft-and-stash guys are going to be extremely valuable this year. Most organizations can't absorb three draft choices--it's going to make international players very popular....and they will probably go much higher than they should. Also, it's an opportunity for Brooklyn to buy a pick and sneak back into the draft.

Brooklyn should definitely try to get themselves a pick. That fanbase has absolutely nothing to look forward to right now.

They have zero assets. I doubt anyone would give them a 1st rounder.

Nope, there is zero chance he is available that late.

If Denver loses tomorrow, and both Bucks and Kings win, we'll finish definitively at the 7th and 8th spots, which would be marvelous. The last thing we want is Denver upsetting Portland, who is still jockeying for seeding with the likes of Memphis. Being top 7 is key in this draft, that would at least make it more of a reality, and at this point top 10 lottery odds is guaranteed.

Sac wont win. They are playing Rockets on the road who are trying to beat out Utah for the 8th seed.

The best case scenario will be 8th from a likely 3 way tie with Bucks and Sac. Worst case 10th.

I don't know about that. He is not Porzingis and he went third - in a stronger draft of course. We know the top 2. After that it will depend on lottery position and the individual team. It's teams see him as a risk because of his lack of minutes, injury and low athleticism then he can fall. It's not likely but I can see it happening.

How magical would it be if Denver/New York won the lottery? 8th pick in this draft is not really that good.

No offense but I hate when ppl say that...

We have no idea who's going to be available at that pick or how good they will. Almost every draft without fail has an all star or near all star that slips under the radar. Ie/ both Klay Thompson and Kawhi Leonard were picked later than that in the same draft that was anticipated to be much worse than this one and really there seems to be multiple players in this one that have very good upside or appear to be potential sleepers.

I actually feel pretty confident saying that there will be at least 3 players after 8 in the draft that will end up being better players in the league. No one can say for certain who yet but imo there seems to actually be a lot of untapped potential that undoubtedly a few will surprise ppl in the end.

I really like this kid. If Masai is looking to draft a big, he might as well GO BIG lol

He's 19 and has all the physically tools you would want and is oozing with potential. Dangerous word but if we develop him properly and be patient, he could be big time.

I really want the 8th pick now lol.

I think there's a upper tier of 7 guys that are pretty solidly in the top 10

Simmons, Ingram, Bender, Brown, Murry, Dunn and Hield.

If your picking at 8 all you need is someone in tier 2(poetl, Skal, Rabb, Luwawu for eg.) to jump into the top 7 to push a top prospect down. Plus it would really suck to see luwawu go at 8/9 right infront of us in the case that he does wind up being masai's "guy"

This guy reminds me a lot of Amir with his gangly physique and his touch around the rim. Hopefully he has the ability to put on more weight than Amir but it looks like he should be able to. Has anyone seen any interviews of him? How does his makeup, character, work ethic come off? I hope he has Amir's bball IQ too.
