Feel like anyone who supports McCaw should receive a temporary ban until they apologize for their comments. That is my level of hate lol.

Funny thing is when you're a scrub, you try to make up for it with hustle and crazy energy. He doesnt even do that lol.

For sure. How can any competitive person not get pissed at that.

Among guys like RHJ and Boucher who give an extraordinary effort every time out and who are fighting for their NBA careers, it has to.

Perfect. Even McCaw must know he's a scrub and probably finds the whole thing bizarre.

There should be a graph to go with this thread with a poll for each week of the season.
I’d expect it to consistently trend down but it would be funny to see it visually.

MCCaw with another riveting performance of 6 points in 25 minutes. Meanwhile Davis could only watch and learn as he struggled with 12 points and 7 rebounds in 17 minutes. If only he can play as well as MCCaw, maybe someday...

How does a guard that touches the ball almost every possession, who plays over 25 minutes shoot only 5 shots? Maybe he's getting so many minutes because Nick just forgets he's out there?

-2.78 PIPM (445th of 482 players)

All those metrics he is by far the worst of any Raptors player who's a regular rotation player.

He's just bad and everything points to it. He should be desperately fighting to stay on the roster rather than be playing a prominent role. Before anyone goes to an appeal to authority argument again just remember even good teams make mistakes. Front office/coaching for the Raps is great overall, but they are completely wrong on this one.

Edit: Oh and for more pain, here's the guy he's in front of and stealing minutes from (Terence Davis).

+12.8 net rating (Team overall is +5.1)
+3.23 RPM (18th of 458 players)
+4.0 RAPTOR (31st of 278 players, used same filter as McCaw's)
+1.12 PIPM (73rd of 482 players)

What a joke.

you don't even need advanced stats to see that Mccaw is a 3rd stringer....the eye test is more than enough.

We know they have analytics guys on the team so I'm sure they must know this. That's what makes playing him so much even more baffling.

TD must be toking on the plane or banging Nurse's wife or something because I have no idea what's going on here

Nicely done. For me, this video really highlights his bad passing on the perimeter. Instead of drive and kick or spreading the floor out and creating space, McCaw will give the ball to teammates in bad positions. His reluctance to shoot is obvious.

I SO want to believe Nurse has been force feeding minutes to McCaw to showcase him to potential trade suitors.

Sadly, this may be producing an opposite effect.

Return to Toronto Raptors
