Yeah Flynn's shot release is like...quicker now? Last season it looked too slow to create with, now it's like he can get it off whenever he needs to. That's a pretty huge development.

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

yes, but that wasn't the question. I don't think he's going to be our primary ball handler nor is he going to be guarding opposing point guards.

He is 100% going to be guarding opposing pointguards. That was very clear from watching this game.

actual NBA points guards (not Summer League) will blow by him.

Well hes just gonna have to prove you guys wrong again.

Aaron Wiggins 13 pts, 5 rebs, 3 stls. Was available in 2nd round.

Jfc he is not going to guard opposing PGs on the regular in the NBA lmaoo. He will get the odd bite at it when Nurse wants to throw a different look at teams and if he gets switched onto the opposing team's point guard he'll be ok, but that won't be his assignment.

He'll almost ALWAYS be sharing the floor with one of FVV or Flynn and I guarantee you those guys will be tasked with guarding point guards because A) they're really good at it and B) you don't want those guys guarding wings because of the size differential. (Not saying he CAN'T guard them, but it's kinda absurd to think that'll be one of his main defensive responsibilities).

Malachi not getting enough love.

He looked like the best player arguably that was heads and shoulders above the rest, like he got whatever he wanted. He's still not as strong as I'd like but I'm sure he's working on it.

It wont be a situation where he is 100% gaurding the PG but he will be able to. Just another tool in his arsenal.

Yeah he cooked Quickley. The rookie everyone was raving about last year.

Random side note but you guys ever notice how the Knicks have like 5 thriving online forums? (Realgm, reddit, prosports, ultimate Knicks, posting and toasting). I know we have three (realgm, reddit, raptors republic) but it’s just crazy.

i think the key point that people praised about Scottie's defense wasn't that he could always stand in front of smaller guards, it's that he can turn his hip quickly and recover. As long as he can ride along the attacker's side (which will test his tenacity on D) he has good enough reach to alter the shot even when trailing from behind. Also he's supposed to be pretty crafty in those situation and very good at avoiding fouls.

Ben Simmons he's not, and I mean that in a good way.

He does have an amazing package. With that kind of length he can really do it all.

Malachi's last year's steal of the draft. Dude's like our Jalen Suggs who came a year early.

A 3 inches taller, 15 lb heavier (as a rookie) probably better playmaking -and playmaking was always one of iggys strengths- iggy. Yes. Fair comparison.

Barnes measured at 6'7" w/o shoes at the combine. Igoudala measured 6'6" w/o shoes.
Brian Geltzeiler: You see Mark Jackson getting a head coaching job as early as next year?

Adrian Wojnarowski: Not if people make calls on him. Not if an organization is doing their homework and knows all the things he brings with him.

I wasn’t high on Mobley before the draft and his Summer League performance sucked as well. I think he’s most likely to be a bust.

What’s our roster situation looking like? How many spots do we have left? I think Justin Champagnie and David Johnson have the two, two way spots. Does that mean Delano will get a guaranteed contract?

America as a whole yeah sure but Ontario and New York are comparable in population. Southern Ontario is like 14 million. New York is 19 million. I guess it makes sense though.
