Without an agent, what? Why the hell he would do that?

So he could get feedback and then possibly revisit his decision in two weeks and possibly stay at Arizona.
Arizona has a scholarship crunch and as Derrick was likely to leave anyways. Sean didn't want to jeopardize a player having to transfer just so Derrick could wait two-three weeks longer just to hire an agent.

will players start recruiting the high end prospects to enter the draft much like franchise guys do to free agents?

Stern would probably lose his **** but I could see it happening

how could they unless they knew the draft order (which they cant).
I know that Ed Davis has been talking to Derrick Williams lately (more than just the exchange on twitter)

Does D Will have all-star potential? Irving may never make an all-star game because there are so many good young PGs in the league but there are some aging SFs and D Will might have that ability. I still wouldn't draft him though.

My opinion on DWill is he's going to have the league drueling over him in his first year, much like Griffin.

If DWill becomes a Raptor and jumps over a Kia in the dunk contest I'm disowning him.

Derrick is the best ingame dunker I have ever seen in ncaab.
Wherever he goes, he will be all over the highlight reel similar to Blake.

I think he does have all-star potential, I doubt he's an All-NBA 1st team candidate but I do see him as a Danny Granger or Shawn Marion type of all-star. Someone who is definitely an all-star but doesn't exactly make the team every single year, so isn't exactly considered among NBA's elite.

Let's hope I'm not way off on this one if we draft him. I'm still in the Irving or D-Will bandwagon. Nobody else really interest me like they do.

Really? You just cited Griffin in your post and you still say that about Williams? Go back and look at their highlight reels, hell go back and look at Derrick Favors highlight reel. Williams wouldn't even make my top 10 ingame dunkers in the past 5 years.

Williams is a solid dunker but I think you're a little too in love with him.

How about you just go back and learn to read, then learn to quote.

Griffin had that many great dunks in a couple games. I thought you were going to call me out on Favors because he really wasn't anything special as a dunker in college, oh well.

As for the quoting mishap, is that really a reason to attack me? C'mon man.

I think DWill could be beastly, I really like the possibility of a quick, athletic lineup with Bayless/DeMar/DWill/Ed... I get the feeling that these guys would really push each other to excel.

Obviously, you quoted Sunny as me then took a shot at the post. That's an attack on me, get it? Anyways, Derrick Williams is in fact one of the better dunkers in recent history. You're delusional.

For college basketball, Derrick Williams was the best ingame dunker I have seen. I watched a fair amount of Blake and Favours, but obviously not as much as I watch Williams. If you wish to prove me wrong, I would love to see some youtube highlights that thoroughly puts Dwill to shame.

I think we'd get plenty scoring from the threesome of Bayless, DeMar, and Derrick, to where we can roll out a defensive 4 (Davis) and 5.

 Way to keep a level playing field. VC's college days were 12-13 years ago though, so it's not really in the Griffin/Williams discussion.
