Lewis started out in Seattle as a long, skinny SF with a good 3 ball. Then when he went to Orlando he transitioned into playing the 4 in his first year and spent the majority of his career there, here he drained more 3's in his career than ever. I see the same career trajectory for Bruno. Starting at the SF initially, but then later blossoming as a 4 man when he adds bulk. There he can take advantage of his speed and take guys off the dribble if they guard the 3 pt shot too closely.

Rashard Lewis was a pretty proficient post-player in Seattle, though. He had a pretty smooth game down low; he never bullied people, even when he played the 3, but he was fluid and used his height pretty well. Bruno has a long, long ways to go before he gets there, especially since right now his offence is basically "stand around the perimeter and wait for the ball."

Lewis is a great realistic comparison

I still feel like he is just getting used to his body. That one play where he did a pump fake, then passed it to Bebe, he fell and proceeded to get up awkwardly, almost as if his mind and body weren't on the same page being so long.

I like his potential. With time, if he works hard and gets comfortable with his body, he can be a solid player. He already has a nice shooting touch which added to his length could get him some playing time.

Yeah he doesn't seem synchronized with his own body. As an athlete he seems coordinated, but watching him play is like a kid operating a giant mecha for the first time ever. On all of his lob attempts he could have slammed it down, instead he seemed unsure of when to precisely jump and had a soft tip in instead.

How much is due to the passer. Bebe had a couple of low lob he had to adjust to as well.

He runs a bit like JV which is troubling knowing that he's supposed to be running much smoother as a wing guy. Hopefully they can correct his running style, but to change something like that takes countless hours of repetition because your running style is pretty much engrained in your mind by this age.

A perfect pass isn't going to change how low off the ground Bruno decided to get off for the lob.

Bruno looks a bit like a young Barkley or Muhammed Ali, and that's not a bad thing.

Sorry for mentioning that he's a good looking kid. Probably the first time I've seen him smile, so I noticed it. lol I think we've made enough comments about his appearance now and can get back to basketball.

Now I'm going to have to fight the urge to refer to Bruno as illmatic.
