Did you not watch him in NCAA? He was terrible offensively against much worse players than this. There was no reason to think he’d do anything at this level right now.

Nah, only a bit in the tourny. I don't get how such an offensive vacuum became a high lottery prospect/pick.

Your guess is as good as mine. I honestly thought it was a joke he was even being considered where he was based on what he did at FSU. Hope those running this team know what they’re doing.

This summer league team is so offensively challenged. Scottie leads the team in scoring with 5

Just wait until you watch the Raptors try to score without Lowry this year. Gonna be some ugly nights.

This is what things look like when you don’t have a guy who can get their own shot.

I hate how no turnovers registered under Gillespies name. So many turnovers were cause he has no hands but it gets charged to the guy who’s passing to him

Sounds like what you want as 4th pick

I just don't get it, and I know it's become almost verboten to express skepticism or outright anger about the pick. How was it that there was near unanimous outrage on draft night after the selection, but 1-2 weeks later, the narrative completely flipped that it was actually Suggs who had the much lower ceiling? I just don't get how a guy with literally no offensive game became a high lottery pick. This is not even a Raptors-centric criticism as several teams were enamoured with him. I don't know what separates Scottie and so many other projects selected in the late first and second round.

People only looking at the stats sheet and thinking he's playing bad are kidding themselves; Scrubs on his team can't convert from his good passes; should be 5-6 assist right now. Barnes will be amazing Point Forward.

Can we just give Scottie the ball and have someone set him a pick one time? How hard is that?

Well me for one. But I’m probably the only person here regularly watching NCAA basketball. Barnes was an absolute joke offensively at FSU. The first game was this league was the aberration, not the other way around.

There is no need for tank world order. The tank drives itself now.
