Buddy, I am pretty sure you are joking but keep that stuff to yourself. Enough journalists are having to deal with constant trolls and threats; we should probably chill out over a basketball team.

How nice of you to stick up for a "journalist" (he is not). Yeah my joke is flippant which is very appropriate when he makes flippant unsubstantiated claims that Scottie's underperformance earlier in the season are due to him not working hard over the summer (when clearly Scottie had an ankle injury). Guess what? My joke was only read by a few people, but his lie poisoned the minds of thousands. So you can keep your opinion to yourself.

He's not 100% off. RealGM has had a few moments in the past where it has been the source of campaigns with ill-intent. It's tracked back and Howard (and mods) have to come in and draw hard lines to make sure it doesn't happen.

Not saying you're starting a campaign here but all it takes for a screenshot to be taken with RealGM in the post. I don't want RealGM to get a name for advocacy of journalist harassment. Even if it is Josh.

I know there is a lot of chatter here about Fred being unhappy, but it doesn't make any sense. He is having his worst year as a pro, playing slightly less minutes and is constantly hurt. Management goes out of its way to accommodate him and he performs worse.

He is more than likely grudgingly opting in at the end of the year. I don't think he is unhappy - he is the guy in front of media almost every night. He still is considered their leader along with Pascal.

It is guys like Trent and OG who are entering theirs primes who want more role, more money and be in positions to succeed.

OG is the polar opposite of a malcontent
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.

Shams

When talking to team officials across the NBA, the Toronto Raptors are the most fascinating franchise to watch before the deadline. At 20-24 and 11th place in the Eastern Conference, the Raptors have underwhelmed at times and have several talented players — Pascal Siakam, O.G. Anunoby, Fred VanVleet and Gary Trent Jr. — whom teams are monitoring. If the Raptors decide to rebuild and prepare to aim for the draft lottery by moving a couple of their key cornerstones, there will be a long list of suitors.

Without a doubt, the Raptors have the full attention of everyone across the NBA.

Toronto Raptors
The Suns and Magic have emerged as potential free-agent suitors for All-Star guard VanVleet, league sources say. VanVleet — the 2019 NBA champion and one of the league’s greatest undrafted success stories — spoke recently about his pending free-agency status in the offseason and how he remains focused on the Raptors: “I’m completely focused on his team. My loyalty is to this team and to this franchise and trying to get us back to the level that we’re accustomed to around here.”

Spurs center Jakob Poeltl has gained significant trade interest from teams such as the Toronto Raptors and Boston Celtics,

The Raptors, Los Angeles Lakers, New Orleans Pelicans, Milwaukee Bucks, Cleveland Cavaliers and Dallas Mavericks are among the teams registering interest in Detroit’s Bojan Bogdanović, league sources say.

Gotta trade him man, Magic are going to offer him the bag imo.

Sucks that the Magic can just sign him outright. I would loved to steal Suggs or Bamba in a trade.

I'm so meh on Bamba. If we did acquire him , I'd immediately want to ship out Boucher as well.

Obviously Suggs would be so awesome to get... not sure what it would take.

Could he a minority opinion but I think Suggs could end up being a bust. I’d rather have cole Anthony.

Oh he definitely could be. But I wouldn't mind taking a shot, teaming him with a friend in Barnes and seeing if we can unlock him.

Cost depending of course.

I think Anthony has a hard ceiling as a sixth man. Not that we don't need scoring but we have had our share of shoot first guards, it might be better to have a playmaker at that spot instead.

I could totally see a Chris Paul/Fred trade where it is a covert salary dump/move to future. Problem is Paul Will likely come back and blow up the tank.

Fred, Boucher for Paul, Cam Johnson and 2023 1st top 10 protected.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

I think Suggs would cost a first. If we could get him for fred, I am
driving fred to the airport.Suggs needs a change of scenery anyway. Too many guards in Orlando.

I am undecided on Suggs for a first (could be worth it) but I do not want Cole Anthony AT ALL. He would ruin this team.

full notebook about tidbits about raptors from Jake fisher

but again just regurgitating stuff we have heard for last few weeks

https://sports.yahoo.com/raptors-have-plenty-to-figure-out-before-trade-deadline-152451461.html

- “They’ve told teams they’re going to do something,” said an assistant general manager.

- If Toronto does decide to bolster this group, league personnel expect the Raptors to focus on playmaking on the perimeter and rim protection in the interior.

- Toronto officials informed inquiring minds they’ll evaluate this Raptors roster until that fateful second Thursday of next month

- it would take a haul at least in the ballpark of Atlanta’s offseason price for Dejounte Murray — multiple unprotected first round picks — for Toronto to even consider parting with OG Anunoby, a known favorite of Ujiri.

- Trent appears to be the most likely Raptor to be traded, and by a wide margin

- Toronto has shown interest in Hornets forward Jalen McDaniels

FVV / Boucher for Paul / Johnson / Crowder / Pick would be nice.

We worked him out after his freshman year at San Diego before he returned. I thought he played really well against us the last two games.
