:o relistening to the lyrics lol

If you ever seen the mark Wahlberg flick "rock star"....it's loosely based on judas priest. The singer had been sneaking gay-based lyrics in all their macho heavy metal music for years lol. Pretty cool actually.

I heard a rumour or truth that he was gay but not about the lyrics. I've actually never heard of that movie. I will check it out cheers.

edit: i'm old enough to remember how the media was all up in a roar over the band.

MC Eiht and Spice 1 had some great collabs

A local toronto DJ released a really dope 4 part spice 1 mix a while back I had it in one of my laptops and backup drives but it will be really hard to find. West coast bay area rap is another vibe

The new slick rick is out there.

I got this record when I was 20 years old. Vince guaraldi is best known for making all the charlie brown music. Including his melancholy masterpiece "christmas time is here".

But this album is his more Latin jazz side and recorded live in a jazz bar. I always loved the engineering of this record. Such an amazing sound. Particularly the capture of the drums in such an environment and the drums being so prominent in the mix. You can hear ppl at the bar....but it's perfect in the mix.

Amazing artist. Amazing band. Amazing performance. But most importantly....an amazing capture/recording. Whoever recorded this gig knows what they were doing.

This album is 25 years old, but I just discovered these guys (thanks to Rick Beato's channel). RATM with a Big Muff pedal. Heavy, but musical.

This album is 24 years old today. I remember skipping school and had my dad drive me to the mall to get me my copy. He was okay with it with last week of school and all. But I am sure if he wouldn't buy it if he knew about Bizarre's lyrical content in this album lol.

Top to bottom great album and not because of some childhood nostalgia. The production from Eminem, Denaun Porter, Dre, all on point.
All 6 members took their writing seriously, good catchy choruses and Bizarre was horrorcore before it was known as horrorcore, you just couldn't play the stuff he said in public lol. I knew about Bizarre from Marshall Mathers LP after Amityville and his verse on Under the Influence.

Favourite Tracks: Pistol Pistol, American Psycho, That's how, Purple Pills, Fight Music, Revelation, Pimp Like Me, **** on You, These Drugs

I also got a chance to meet some of the crew and sign my copy but this after they were no longer a group. It will be next to impossible to get this thing signed by Eminem

D12. A real supergroup! I remember the rizz of Purple Pills. 2001... a lifetime ago!!

I've been listening to the song used for this fight (Just Forget by Force of Nature) on loop for the past few years. It kind of hurts to listen to... it reminds me of the people in my life who I've lost, and of how deeply they made me feel. At the same time, I'm able to just focus like nothing else when I listen to it. I kind of resent it, really...
