When you go BPA with your picks, team needs to be more flexible in trades, something they've been reluctant to do. Limited minutes available at 2/3 for everyone.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

Not happening.
Don't really have to. Odds for getting the number 1 pick:
Worst overall record: 14.0%
4th worst: 13.2%
Just basically need to be in the bottom 5.
I don't think we are bottom 5 bad.
We likely miss the playoffs but probably end up where Uah has been the last 2 years...basically 8-14 range.
I feel like our ceiling is 10th in our conference and losing in one of the play-in games. Basically, being as good as the Hawks were this year.

Assuming Trent doesn't return, that leaves the starting SG position wide open. Let's say Dick starts, who backs him up? Would be Walter in that case.
Ochai will back up RJ.
Plenty of minutes available.

Dude can't shoot. That's a problem.
Every scout from top to bottom has him classified as shooter/defender. But at RealGm, there are the real Pros that already know what a 19 year old cant do and will never change.

He is basically the same size, both 6'4.25 in bare feet and Gary's reach was only 1.25 less but Walter has +4.5 in standing reach
Gary had +1 inch max vert but did he short arm the standing reach? neither of them pop on film vertically compared to their verts imo

if he can be a wes matthews-type for us, assuming he bulks up a bit/that shot develops, that's not too bad at all.

Ochai will back up RJ.
Plenty of minutes available.
If you consider the two guard spots and the small wing spot, you have 144 minutes to split between IQ, Barrett, Dick, Ochai and Ja'Kobe.
Lets project something like:
IQ - 32 mins
RJ - 32 mins
Dick - 24 mins
Ochai - 17 mins
Ja'Kobe - 17 mins
That's only 122 minutes with 26 minutes still left to be filled by either Trent or Brown, if one of them comes back, or by a FA/Trade addition. If they let Trent/Brown go and don't bring in anyone else, those guys will need to play even more than that.

He shot 32 % on mid range jumpers, 34% on 3s. Not a good shooter, at least when he was at Baylor.
He can say he's the best shooter and be confident, but numbers say otherwise

Also I read somewhere that the difficulty of shots he took was more difficult. Also I listen to Tyler Ruck and he said on Hello and Welcome that he would benefit to see his game simplified. That Baylor often ask too much . Like with Keyonte last year
Consistency is an issue but he is definitely a shooter

Re: With the 19th Pick, the Raptors select Ja'Kobe Walter!
was he bad in transition? this is all I could find "The end result is a very poor rim-finishing statistical profile. Walter was 4-for-18 on transition twos" surely he had more than 18 attempts?
is he really like GTJ who plays below the rim and can't finish in transition or and struggles at the rim overall?

I don't think they should part ways with GTJ unless they intend on deliberately tanking. Dick, JaKobe, and Ochai aren't gonna give you much next season. GTJ (25) fits the timeline with RJ (24) and Quickley (25) plus he's coming off shooting 39% from 3 last year.

We got an A for Poeltl too.
I hope by next season, the baseless Poeltl hating will stop after the pick we gave up is finally done and we can move on.
It’s not hate.
He was praised coming into the draft as a 20 and 10 guy with Pau Gasol comparisons.
He hasn’t lived up to the hype and deserves the criticism coming his way.

Why is the position open SG? Scottie is such a special player and asset that he almost has no position especially on offense so he can be the 4 or the 3. I think we need to get another 3/4 type player who is around 6'8 big wing alongside Scottie in the starting lineup. It makes us bigger in the backcourt with RJ being the 2 where his bully ball will be even more lethal. I also think Scottie at the 3 is better where he can use his size more often instead of being a big by default because he is always sharing the court with guards. Versatile size is king and we need more of that not more SG's. We already have enough of those. Obviously they are hard to come by but we literally only have 1 in Scottie and need at least 2. Unless you think RJ is that which is a whole different argument.

If you go 1-3 at the rim with an and1 but also draw 3 shooting fouls and go 7/7 from line, your % at the rim is still 33%.

Demar was also the least efficient 20ppg guy in the league (lowest FG% while being low volume from 3 is... something)
It was not like that team had stud defenders. Demar was a dreadful defender. JV would get abused. We played Amir kind of out of position at the 4. We had Lou Will / Ross / Vasquez rounding out of guard rotation.
Honestly, it should be appreciate how hard Lowry carried those teams. Was not the big scorer but man did he lift everyone else up around him like crazy. Always in the right spot and did the right things. The league should be thankful the guy was 6'0 and kind of fat and not 6'6.
Low turnovers, high FTA meant our offence was as good as GSW and Lebrons Cleveland at the time.
Which is **** outrageous
Well, we could also feast on a really weak division at the time. The next best team in the Atlantic was Boston with 40 wins. Even they went 11-5 against our division. Can prop those numbers up a bit, and playoffs told the other story.
Well, Casey didn't help there.

He took like 5 FTA per game, which was most for his class as a whole, so if his numbers aren't great, it's because he's been getting to the line so much. So for perspective, even though Tyrese Maxey was scoring way better from 2pts, because Walter had such high FTA and good 3pt% on high volume, Walter still has the better TS%.

I think Dick at the start of this season will be a more valuable starting sg than Trent was. Is far cheaper as well
If it were me he would have already been traded when he was peak value 2 trade deadlines ago
