Still need to put ourselves in position to accumulate some pieces and why not? Why couldn't we be deep enough to put ourselves in position to capitalize on opportunities? It's a weird argument that tries to minimize the title run and core.

And it has nothing to do with “minimizing” the title run, don’t be stupid. It’s what I’ve been stating, yesterday’s price is not today’s. So we can’t simply just “follow the path” from the past. The present has very different looking roads to acquire championship level talent.

Sure under normal circumstances there would be competition. Why couldn't we pull something off when the time comes though? Im talking future. Competition and all. Everyone's competing.

As for kawhi being a top 2/3 player...he was a top 2/3 question mark. You're forgetting your history.

Who else? Gasol? A talented but old past his peak veteran on a soon to be tanking team for Two young highly thought of prospects, the best of the 2 being a guy who plays the same position as the guy the tanking team is trading? Thats pretty **** good in any era. Whats crazy about that?
