This is the no go to moves Barnes I’m talking about . No decisive move that you can count on him to stop runs. Forcing up tough awkward shots. Bricking everything.

Ace Bailey needs to be our souped up version of Trey Murphy.

So you have no argument against that is all you’re saying lol

You tried to compare this to how we arrived at our championship squad and failed to realize how completely irrelevant it actually is to this moment being that “costs” are SUBSTANTIALLY HIGHER and therefore not realistic (period).
Lets pretend we added OG to the trade + another pick. No problem.

Thats a star player. Two highly thought of prospects. And 2 1st round picks. Add some 2nda if you want. Sounds about right for a star player with huge question marks around his health at that time. Maybe even an overpay in todays market. But hey. Like you said. Yesterdays price isnt todays price right?

Guess what? Still winning a championship :)

Still need to put ourselves in position to accumulate some pieces and why not? Why couldn't we be deep enough to put ourselves in position to capitalize on opportunities? It's a weird argument that tries to minimize the title run and core.

Yay you tried lol that’s one player (who btw wouldn’t be a certainty that we win the trade as there is/will be multiple teams competing for a top 2/3 player in the league like Kawhi was) and now where are all the assets for all the other players?!?

And it has nothing to do with “minimizing” the title run, don’t be stupid. It’s what I’ve been stating, yesterday’s price is not today’s. So we can’t simply just “follow the path” from the past. The present has very different looking roads to acquire championship level talent.
Sure under normal circumstances there would be competition. Why couldn't we pull something off when the time comes though? Im talking future. Competition and all. Everyone's competing.

As for kawhi being a top 2/3 player...he was a top 2/3 question mark. You're forgetting your history.

Who else? Gasol? A talented but old past his peak veteran on a soon to be tanking team for Two young highly thought of prospects, the best of the 2 being a guy who plays the same position as the guy the tanking team is trading? Thats pretty **** good in any era. Whats crazy about that?

Ibaka? Already had him. Idk why you're including him. Got him for another young guy. A sniper. Years prior. Again, whats crazy about that?

Raptors came out very casually in the third and paid for it. This is the NBA. Can’t take your foot off the gas. Now they’re in a dog fight.
not strong, only aggresive cuz the power ain't directed/ that's why, we are subjected to the will of the oppressive

Ice him. He's at peak value now. Can't risk the injury.

Barnes helping the tank tonight by getting right in front of the rim and passing it out all game

Prefer real reps at the highest level in pressure situations.

He & Gradey should be swapping minutes.

Unlike Gradey, JaKobe still finds a way to be impactful even if his jumper isn’t falling.

It would really hurt us. I mean, if you want to tank then it's a great strategy.
